neepheid Posted November 19, 2012 Report Share Posted November 19, 2012 Hi folksI have to thin the herd a bit, a few too many similar basses in the house at the moment, so I offer for sale a 1985 Yamaha BB300. It's a simple, passive bass with a nice neck that's neither Jazz nor Precision, a reverse P pickup and a 21 fret neck. I've used this for a couple of gigs and it's sounded great - it could be argued that every P pickup should be this way round (makes the D and G strings bassier and reins in the E and A a little for an arguably more balanced, rounded sound)It's got a fair bit of wear and tear on the body as I've tried to highlight in the last two pics (quite tatty round the edges and a bit of a gouge in the back above the control cavity) but the neck is in good shape with a smooth, deep, glossy lacquer.
