Soda Jerk
Right, so we have our first gig coming up in 6 weeks (Monday August 2nd @ Tunnels!), and we appear to be down a guitarist, due to unreliability and such. We're looking to replace him as soon as possible, and give the newbie a crash course in time for the gig.We have a set of 5 songs ready, which you can listen to instrumental demos here:DROSS on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music DownloadsThe structures are very simple, and the parts the newcomer would be playing are the rhythm parts, which is about 90% drop-D powerchords. Nothing too taxing. I can tab out the rhythm guitar for you, and even come to your house and show you how to play the songs if you need. We'd be looking to jam for 2 hours a week on weekday evenings at MV, and possibly a weekend or two in the run up to the gigWe're loud, and we like stuff like High On Fire, Unsane, early Pumpkins, Pelican, Melvins, Trouble... Heavy slow shit. Influence isn't too important, as we're all coming from very different directions, with the end result being Loud! Having a decent amp will help achieve the Loudness also. We're jamming on Wednesday evening, 8 til 10, if you can make that, so get in touch ASAP if you like what you hear and what to be apart of a whole heap of horrible noise.
