ClaireFu
This Thursday DHC PRESENTS NIGHTMOVES @ SNAFU // THURSDAY 17TH APRIL // 9PM-2AM / 3/2The story of Nightmoves involves two like-minded, haphazard youngsters, both resident djs at the apotheosis of the Nottingham scene Liars Club. The club providing the backdrop, music, and party ethos which inspired Pete & Matt to take their strange, esoteric sounds alongside their proclivity for nocturnal affairs, and form an outfit that revel in the aspirations of the Night. As the infamy of Liars Club spread, achieving an almost international cult status, the two residents decided to start producing their own music. Their first opportunity arose after Disco Simon, a regular drunkard at their clubnight, formed a band whom Nightmoves would later remix it transpired that this band was in fact The Klaxons. Gravitys Rainbow was remixed into a surefire peaktime offering by the duo, which had the likes of Erol Alkan endorsing. Kitsune would later licence & release Gravitys Rainbow and gleefully include Nightmoves mix. Subsequent remix offers would pour in, with offers for management from Digitalisms management amongst others. To date, Nightmoves have rejigged the likes of The Infadels (Wall of Sound), Shitdisco, Freeform Five, Punks Jump Up, Van She and Robbie Williams with more in the pipeline. Support has come from djs as diverse as Erol Alkan, In Flagranti, The Glimmers, Vicarious Bliss, Kavinsky, Paul Epworth, Filthy Dukes, Simian Mobile Disco, Spencer Parker, MSTRKRFT, Freeform Five, Mark Moore, Tim Sweeney, Lottie, JoJo De Freq, the list goes on. Due to lack of time Pete has had to leave Nightmoves in the capable hands of Matt who has been done all of the remixes from Atlantis 2 Interzone onwards on his own. He is currently in the studio working on original material. Matt has also found the time to disseminate their mad sounds throughout the UK, of late: Fabric, The End, The Lock Tavern, Our Disco at Plastic People, Tramp, Death Disco, Cabaret Voltaire, Bugged Out! As well as playing internationally across cities including Gothenburg, Berlin, Porto, Slovenia, Los Angeles and San Francisco. He has also recently toured with Simian Mobile Disco as their Support DJ.Advance tickets available HEREDIRTY HEARTS CLUBNIGHTMOVES
