The Undertones+TV21

Recommended Posts

One of the greatest of all bands to emerge from the punk era, The Undertones reconvened in their native Derry in 1999 with the electric onstage presence of Paul McLoone replacing original singer Feargal Sharkey. The shows were as fresh and exhilarating as in 1979 with new material and classics like Teenage Kicks, Wednesday Week, Jimmy, Jimmy, My Perfect Cousin and Here Comes The Summer being rapturously received. The band now play selective shows worldwide, attracting old fans, and many younger ones intrigued by their influence on new pop/punk bands such as Sum41, The Hives and Green Day. Last seen in Aberdeen opening for The Rolling Stones at The Capitol in 1982, the very recently reformed TV21 are reunited with The Undertones after supporting them on the Positive Touch tour in 1981.
