palmer_eldritch
Just got back from the Gong family Unconvention in Amsterdam. One of the events that we had the pleasure of seeing during the festival was the Glissando Guitar Orchestra. This was a complete first as far as i know, and it consisted of 10 different guitarists, including Steve Hillage, Daevid Allen, steve higgins, fabio golfetti, brian abbott and a few more. The sound produced was actually the most atmospheric thing I've ever heard in my life. Check this out. Glissando Guitar is so damn powerful, so i hope a few folk will appreciate this, whether they be Gong fans or not.
Guest Tam o' Shantie
nothing gives me less of a hardon than watching ten 60 year old hippies with guitars 'jam'
palmer_eldritch
You don't think thats a powerful sound atleast?I think its quite extraordinarily close to Buddhist Mantra. . . but that would be 'Hippie' talk
Guest Neubeatz
Old hippies or not, Glissando guitar when well executed,(great through a tube distortion and delay) is one of the most ethereal sounds I've ever heard....
