gigsnorth
I was not trying to list every gig in Aberdeen, etc, just the majority of the indlie/alternative bands that play up here as part of tours, etc. I would have loved to have included every single gig in the city but cannot do this as it would take far too long to do thus making it difficult to keep the site up to date.Any local bands, etc are more than welcome to post gig info/adverts on the comments section at the foot of the main pageI aim to add new gigs/tours as and when the are announced as well as including info on all support bands. Links to the myspace sites of every band can be found on the blog.Thank you to those of you who have taken time to have a look.Cheerswww.myspace.com/gigsnorth
Guest MDP
for every gig in aberdeen we have the granite city guide.
gigsnorth
I'm aware of that, however I also aim to post myspace bulletins and send emails out with new tour date info as soon as possible after they are announced, something which as far as I am aware the gcc does not do.I am also including tour date for Inverness also
Guest MDP
the gcg has a mailing list, and we mail out that week's listings every monday. we are also starting to do the same, nand possibly daily blletains, but no we dont plan to email/bulletain gig announcements, as that is the promoters job. gigsnorth
Good stuff, I'm not trying to step on anyones toes and there is no way that my site could include as much gig info as the granite city guide. Just wanted to try and do something a bit different on myspace.
Guest MDP
dont get me wrong here, i like your idea, i was merely explaining about the gcguide is somewhere to go that has all the gigs, i know there are alternatives, that do differnet things.
