The Kernel Loaf
It was out today.Has anyone else bought it?When I first listened to it (I downloaded it), I was like "yeah it's quite good, but I don't know, it seems to lack the Squarepusher magic". However, it's fucking grown on me like some kind of positive cancerous growth. He has focused a lot more on melody this time round, which is a complete contrast to Ultravisitor (not like it was bad, but at times it was difficult to listen to), and this makes an excellent album to just sit down and listen to over and over again. The man is a genius. Enough said. However, the album isn't perfect. I love every song apart from 'Vacuum Garden' and 'Orient Orange', which is the ambience/droning type of stuff heard on 'Do you Know Squarepusher'. It's a pity, because it makes this album just short of being his best work on one disc/LP.
