The Jamm/Paul Weller Connexion

Thursday 7th September

The Lemon Tree

12 (8 concessions and Regulars)

Doors open: 8.30pm Show starts: 9pm

The Jamm - As Bruce Foxton said after seeing them at Guildford in '97, "They are true to the original sound of The Jam", praise later backed up by Rick Buckler who gave them 9/10 when they played at the launch of the official Jam web site. Using the same instruments, sound gear, dark suits and ties, they recreate the punk era feel but play material through the years including Strange Town, Tube Station at Midnight, A Town Called Malice, That's Entertainment, Going Underground and Eton Rifles plus album material as well. Also included is The Bitterest Pill - a song that The Jam never played live.

The Paul Weller Connexion is led by The Jamm's John Southorn (recently seen on Stars In Their Eyes). They will blow you away with their set consisting of Changing Man, Peacock Suit, Friday Street, Into Tomorrow, Brand New Start, Wild Wood, Mermaids, Out of the Sinking, Tin Soldier, Sunflower, Has My Fire Really Gone Out and many other classics.
