Thee Alex
Hi, if anyone has a Casio SK series sampling keyboard they are willing to sell me could they please drop me an email? I am willing to pay up to 20.
Mouse
Ahh what a great little keyboard. I read about these, they were one of the first sampling keyboards right? Here is a good example on ebay, boxed with instructions. It would be worth bidding if no one round here is willing to sell.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3714288860&category=47081
Thee Alex
Am already bidding on that one! Someone else has told me they have an FZ1 they are willing to sell - could be spectacular!!I am buying keyboards cos I am playing them with my 'other' band Lipsick www.lipsick.co.uk
Mouse
Well if you play keyboards, it's essential you own a Casio Vl-Tone if you don't already
ghost
Agreed. Even if you don't play keyboards - a VL Tone is essential! You're not a musician without one!
Mouse
Here is a good example of a Vl-1 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3714585027&category=47081I have two, well one is my sisters but she doesn't use it. I also have a Vl-5 (one is going on ebay just now, they are rare!) that is in mint condition, but it is now fucked for some reason and only works through the line out
Thee Alex
I have a VL1 on its way to me. Looks like I am going to lose the SK1 (going outwith my budget) - if anyone has a keyboard that can sample a couple of seconds so I can pitchshift vocals and is willing to sell it please drop me a line!! Mouse
The SK-1 is like the cheapest sampling keyboard ever and only records around 1.3 seconds. You should save up and get an upper model like an SK-
Thee Alex
I only need it to record a short sample - it will be mainly used live with Lipsick! while the serious sampling will be handled at home by a Casio FZ1 that I have coming my way. Mouse
That's good then. I will probably purchase an SK-1 for a bit of fun. A Vl-10 is priority keyboard wise though then a replacement Vl-
Thee Alex
Won an SK1 on Ebay!!

Mouse
It must be cool. I'll definately make a purchase once I get a job. Now the little money I got is going towards games for my newly found megadrive, phone cards and donington spending money!
