Even though I didn't live in Aberdeen when I was in Scotland and even though I only ever played Drakes once I have to chip in and agree that it is a real shame that it is closing. It is more than a year since I played there with Tarzan Stripes on a freezing January night to about 4 people but I still remember it as one of my favourite gigs of 2004. Hi, my other band, Lipsick! is looking to play in Aberdeen soon and I had such a great time when i (Thee Moths) was up with The Tarzan Stripes in January I thought I would ask if Drakes would put us on. I only need it to record a short sample - it will be mainly used live with Lipsick! while the serious sampling will be handled at home by a Casio FZ1 that I have coming my way.

I have a VL1 on its way to me. Looks like I am going to lose the SK1 (going outwith my budget) - if anyone has a keyboard that can sample a couple of seconds so I can pitchshift vocals and is willing to sell it please drop me a line!!

What? The CD of The Need? I don't have any copies at all of that but I can burn a CDR of the record to put in the sleeve (if that is what you are talking about)

I am going to have copies of my books with me for sure - I made some more today. Brian, you will just have to put me on sometime!

Looks like I will be able to bring some vinyl as well. Going to make some CDR's of stuff too, maybe put a couple of live recordings on one and I might make a limited edition compilation of various singles and comp appearances for the evening. Might have some copies of my second minibook with me as well.

I haven't seen those reviews, any chance of getting a copy?
