Guest onlynik
You can use this handy toolhttp://www.magnetbox.com/riaa/to find out whether an album you're about to buy is on a label which is a member of the RIAA.
rune
Thats a nice idea, you can also block ports that these people scan for using a nice program called peerguardian http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/
ClicheGuevara
The riaa radar is used by quite a few music download sites to give a small chance of being hassled by them, including one i staff at.As for peerguardian, it's pointless, but i guess if it makes you feel safer then there's nothing wrong with it. It doesn't block ports or whatever, it blocks IP subnets that RIAA use, also stuff like sony etc. But if they want to get you they arn't going to use one of them anyway...If anything, they know you're serious about downloading and will want to get you more
