Singer / songwriter wanted

Hi, I'm currently in a couple of up and coming bands just now, but I'd really quite like to get a few gigs in quite soon, and would also like to be playing live as much as possible.

I'm basically looking for a like-minded singer / song-writer (who preferably can play some Guitar as well, but not essential) to write some originals and play live at open mic sessions and the like. This wouldn't be a serious project, but just a sort of fun thing on the side. I have some acoustic tunes written that I probably won't get to use with either band, so would like to put them to some use.

if it's just for fun why not do the writing and singing yourself? it'd be a good way to learn and if it's just a bit of fun there's not too much pressure for it to be really good as you can shrug it off as a laugh and do whatever you want.

just a suggestion but it is nice to have someone else to bounce ideas off as well.

I dunno mate, I'm not that great a singer, I don't have much of a range, and I just prefer to work with someone else - I think it brings out the best in me.

well i have not sung much since school but have a fair voice. I have been thinking about getting back into singing again recently ( hence signing up here...) what kinda stuff you into?

Well I'm big into my cock rock haha, but I want to do somethin totally different with this. Basically just stuff along the lines of James Taylor, Eva Cassidy, etc. Just acoustic Guitar & Vocals.
