Indafusion...

Recommended Posts

INDAFUSION, dynamic three-piece rock outfit from Dunfermline, Scotland, est. in 2001. Martin does singing and plays guitar, his brother Peter does bass and singing and Gary Haldane does drums and cymbals. Martin and Pete write the songs; Gaz makes them shimmy.

Runts of Darwin, featuring four brand new originals of the modern rock species, is the new EP from Indafusion on Circular Records (www.circular-records.com).

The Scots reinvent the concept of the power trio, adding a nimbleness, melody and harmony to the other prerequisites. Not to mention a winning way with words, and a warm disposition towards animals. and a quiet concern for the human race.

Indafusion float like the Chili Peppers, sting like And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead, and sonically sandpaper a riff like early Black Sabbath.

But this is a sound all their own. Indafusion are progressive alright, but only in the sense of aspiring to move forward rather than glancing in the rear view mirror.

2004 saw the release of the critically acclaimed debut album Sweeping the Stars, also on Circular Records. Since its release, Indafusion have earned a reputation for being one of the most impressive and hardest working live bands in Scotland.
