Marillionboy
Has anyone else read this book? It's Morley's coming to terms with his father's suicide when PM was a teenager. It sounds like pretty grim stuff but it is a fascinating, tricksy novel which ("kiss my ash"), which while overlong, is genuinely captivating. Just wanted to put a recommendation on there. It's a novel full of fabulous moments, such as an account of the first time he heard his father say f*** and how that suddenly made him see his father in a different light. Worth a look folks. Guest Les Stroszek
Yeah I've read it and tried to lend it out to a few folks who won't read it on the basis that Morely is a cunt but it is a great book. Read it in about two days cos I liked it so much. Its so personal but manages to intertwine great writings about the likes of Joy Division but the best bits are the bits about his dad and his own life.
