Guest MKII
If you're looking for a very straight forward one channel/non master volume valve amp, then one of these might fit the bill: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/carlsbro-50-top-valve-head-70s_W0QQitemZ7374661691QQcategoryZ10171QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemTwo inputs with, bass treble, presence and volume. simple! They appear on ebay a lot, they aint worth £300 though. This site offers loads of tips and advice on amps: http://plexipalace.com/plexiboard/index.php
