  1. Got a couple of Mackie Thump TH15A full range PA speakers for sale. Three years old, I've owned these from new and they've been excellent. Done around 100 gigs with a 4 piece and 6 piece band, used them for pubs and functions and they've been flawless. They're full range speakers as well.

Also included are some covers which prevent scratches and scrapes. I can chuck in a couple of stands if you want as well, although one of the stands is gaffa taped together it still works ok.temporary_zpsazi7reul.jpg     temporary_zpsttnzl3lw.jpg

  2. Levinson blades are superb, and much much better than fenders IMO. G&l are very nice too.

Tried a bunch of fender teles last week and the best was a lite ash (Korean). 'Twas very nice and would have bought it if I hadn't just gassed on something else.

  3. strung out guitars... but they in glasgow.

if you go to the fretboard forum  www.fretboard.co.uk,  there is a fella there called ICBM. He  is the amp/tech that works at strung out and is a friendly and approachable chap.

  4. Elixirs for me personally, as any other strings rust as soon as I even look at them.   I may change my name to Rustman.  the first few times you put elixirs on they do feel a bit slippery. But you get used to them superquick.

Soundwise, I hear no difference from brands, and there is no way on the planet that you could identify one brand against another imo.

  5. Personally I'd go for a LR Baggs M1A..     Best move I ever did for an acoustic in a band situation.      you get no feedback, and it cuts through perfectly, and sounds great in a band situation.  Plus no permanent damage to your guitar apart from if you take it out you'd need a slightly larger endpin.
