I am a singer (age 20) looking for a band. What kinda alternative rock are we talking here?

Just dropped out the classical music course at uni and dream of being the front woman of, perhaps, a post-hardcore band. Definitely up for trying out some different sounds though. Fav bands just now: Don Broco, Twin Atlantic, Frightened Rabbit, Vukovi, You me at Six, Sleeping With Sirens, Belle and Sebastian, We Are The Ocean, Alexisonfire, City and Colour. Currently spending my time being a "singer/songwriter" but totally craving something louder.
