  2. FRIDAY Krazzy Martin & Friends ft Eliphino Krazzy Martin Ch£ap Date Like many producers, Leeds native Tom Wrankmore took to beat-making at a young age, saving up to buy an MPC so he could start making music. His first productions were strongly influenced by hip-hop, garnering comparisons to artists like Madlib and other LA experimentalists. Now residing in London, he’s broadened his sound palette and has begun producing house and garage, getting a track signed to Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Electric compilation, remixing a wide range of artists within the same field, dropping tracks on somethinksounds label and a track on the Manchester based Hoya:Hoya label alongside Lone and Ras G. DJ sets are eclectic incorporating sounds from a wide spectrum including hip hop, garage, house, RnB, dancehall and jungle. His latest releases 'No More/More Than Me' and 'VRBDY/Don’t Make Sense' on somethinksounds have been played by Jackmaster and T. Williams amongst others. ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ SATURDAY Rememory Music ft. Esa & Fuad Esa is plain and simply, the dude. 13. There are few things in the world of clubbing that Mr C hasn't done. He's been a DJ, a rapper, a producer, a club owner... For a few years, he was even a pop star. The two guiding forces in his lengthy career have been his ego—something he tries his best to keep in check through his devotion to Buddhism—and his dedication to the new—C rarely plays classics, spinning fresh underground music at every opportunity. He's one of the most outsized characters in the world of electronic music, one that hasn't slowed down much even after a move from his beloved London to the calmer climes of Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting a number of years ago. The Chelsea fan touched on all of these topics in a candid discussion with RA's Todd L. Burns earlier this past month. http://www.residentadvisor.net/podcast-episode.aspx?exchange=69

  16. This fine month of July we warm your feet with two special guests, both excellent UK based producers of cutting edge house, disco and deep sounds, playing alongside our crowd pleasing residents. 07 _ Si Smith & Greg Gibb 14 _ James Fox & Fuad 21 _ Si Smith & Greg Gibb 28 _ Ali OOFT & Fuad // 11pm-3am // Every Saturday // // July // ==== James Fox ==== South London based James Fox has quickly established himself as a producer and DJ that blends jack & groove of the rawest deep house with the soundsystem bass of the UK underground. Debut 12” release ‘Put It Back’ on TAKE Records caught the ear of those in the know, receiving support from DJs as diverse as Fabric’s Terry Francis and Rinse FM’s Alexander Nut. Follow up release ‘New Jack Swing’ on Brighton’s Well Rounded Housing Project was billed by many as the tune of summer 2011; blending a classic R&B vocal with deep bass hits and pitchbent synths, it received heavy rotation from DJs like Martyn, Midland, Jackmaster and Julio Bashmore throughout the year. James Fox - " Put it Back" - http://youtu.be/e37ZvtcJWk8 ==== Ali OOFT! ==== The re-edit king of Scotland, the man behind OOFT! Music, Foto Recordings and Instruments of Rapture. 17. JULY 06 _ Funk D'Void 13 _ Mr. C & Greg Gibb 20 _ Krazzy Martin & Friends ft. Lorca 27 _ Fridge Magnets (Live) + Dirty Hearts Club DJs, Krazzy Martin, Cheens (Live), Nevada Base (Live) ====================== An action packed July kicks off strongly with Funk D'Void - the Barcelona based DJ and producer who has been at the forefront of music's global electronic scene since the mid-90s. A true music expert and the producer of “Jack Me Off”, “Bad Coffee” “Emotional Content” plus some killer remixes for the likes of Underworld, New Order and Kevin Saunderson Firing through the whole month at a frantic pace, Snafu bring you breakthrough UK act Lorca alongside Krazzy Martin & Friends. Lorca has been causing a minor storm on the English south coast mixing that popular brand of garage infused deep house with jacking R & B rhythms, recently starting a hectic touring scheduled that signals he is only heading upwards. 19. Alex Celler has asked to play a 3 hour set. Good news for all. Little bit more info for you all - At the time of writing, Alex Celler is one of only two acts that can boast to having more than one track in RA’s top 30 all-time chart. As an indicator of quality, this is an accolade which is hard to surpass. Headed up by the Area Remote released ‘La Palma’, this breakthrough track marked a turning point in his career, and was part of a sequence of records, which also included the Anthea collaborations ‘The Playmaker’ and ‘Caedmon Loop’, that established Alex in the top division of European producer / DJs. Alex’s music has a style which is energetic and intense, a tech house/techno sound full of swing, complex rhythms & deep basslines and a style which is aimed squarely at the dancefloor. Always keeping the quality levels high and choosing not to release music too frequently, the resulting demand has seen Alex continue his associations with Area Remote and Cecille, as well Tuning Spork, Freak n’ Chic, on Lauhaus’s Soweso label (as Steller). 2012 continues with new music coming on the much-esteemed Spanish label Barraca Music, the ‘Blue Vaudeville’ EP on Cecille Numbers and first appearances on Moon Harbour (with remix of Martinez’s ‘Kamino’) and as a DJ, with his debut tours of South America and the United States plus a second appearance on the Ibiza Voice podcast series. soundcloud.com/leftroom/sets/alex-celler-sourire-du-sphinx http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXUVuz9qiYc
