Hey, Cheers for that, nipped into Bruce Millers a few times and been looking about the internet ect, Rolands seem the way to go. They do have the 2Box DrumIt 5 in store, with 4 mesh heads which can be changed to acoustic drum skins as well, with rim shot sensors. Its probably at the extreme of my budget I'd want to pay for a kit but still scouting about the Rolands. x

Hey, Im going to start looking into buying an electric kit to keep in the house. Im often using my accoustic set, transporting it place to place for gigs and can never be hooped setting it back up. Im going to nip past Bruce Millers later tonight for a nosey. Any of you lot got any advice as what to look for, or If there is also somewhere else you might consider looking? A mate has the Roland TD4, saying its great but Iv yet to try any of them. Cheers, Chris

Although Iv been playing for 8 years, im not going to pretend like I have a clue about snare drums. Iv been playing the same kit since day one. Its a decent enough kit although in comparison to playing many snares elseware, getting a much "clearer" hit, Iv decided its about time to look into this. I'll give Andy a shout next time im in Musical Vision but you guys got any info or anything about decent snares or where to go... Thanks, x

I couldnt agree more with both of you, that was exactly my thoughts. Dynamics are non existant as it has been over produced to the max. Keep that to yourself though... the lead singer / song writter would go ape shit. As for playing live, hopefully thats when the songs actually become real with some feeling to them. Going to be hard, if not impossible to duplicate to the standard what can be heard on the tracks, maybe shot ourselves in the foot. In my opinion, vocals seem a bit continuous and monotone...? I do like the songs though, very commercial and there are two new ones which have gone in a different direction which actually sound achievable live. x

Actually really liked that, One of the better things Iv listened to out of your previous posts Nice length and builds up nicely, although not so sure about the final end as it pauses for 3 before phasing out, seems a bit detatched?

I decided to eat the chewits myself, Although I do have a packet of original Opal Fruits... Have a listen to the tracks, see what you think, any criticism etc go for it. Went for Docs ProPlugs, ordered the right size from R&B, thanks. Makes a huge difference, should really have started using them a long time ago, Still to play as a band with them so will test that out tomorrow. Ended up at a gig last night, tried them out of interest and could still here the tunes well enough, Good stuffs x

Hey, Its about time I start wearing decent ear plugs, Try and get rid of the constant ringing! I had gone and got cheapy ones from boots but they just drowned everything out.
