Parcel Force.

I run a company in Aberdeenshire and have a couple of suppliers who use PF. Now, they have a 24 hour delivery service (amongst many others). Which takes two days to get here, even when the parcel arrives in ABZ the next morning (7amish, give or take), it then gets `sent` to Royal Mail (the same building!) to be delivered by postie the next day. Why does it not get sent out to the sticks the same say it arrives in town no-one can answer me. Cunts.

Also delivery services who charge extra to deliver a parcel to the `highlands and islands` which often includes Inverurie and suchlike. I had a supplier (based in London) who also bought some stuff from us, he said they've be an extra 8 per box because of where we were, I said we'd charge him an extra 8 per box when we were sending him stuff and he basically got outraged at that. Boot, other, foot, etc.

I wont use ANY supplier who uses a courier company who charge extra for delivery to remote (Inverurie? are you sure guv?) areas of Scotland. Actually, I've always meant to make a blacklist of these cunts.

i`m not too sure what else the promoters can do?

It'd be a start if one place online had as near as dammit listed every local gig, like The Kiosque almost has. It cant be hard to email them with the info.

Aye, its an excellent end to the Premiership, just waiting for the accusations of fielding understrength teams getting voiced.

This show appears to have had minimal publicity, whys that then? (possibly a little expensive too, 10-12 sounds a lot better but hey, thats another issue).

Even the three to four quid gigs at Drummonds even get a thread on here, but drift away if they're posted too early.

I've said before, the local gig listings, on the interweb, need a f**king shake up in the Aberdeen area. This forum is decent, but theres no order whatsoever and full of bumpage or love-ins with certain bands. The other gig listing bit on here lists about half the stuff thats actually on. The Kiosque websites having a go at it but it could still be better (with myspaz links, approx stage times for people who want to catch two different shows in one night, etc).

Great that you can put on a full show like that for only a fiver (or so) though.

Since adding the booking fee on the door pisses people off why dont you just add it within the price of the ticket?

Is it any difference going to the cinema, looking at the prices, seeing its 6 then getting asked for 7.50?

Not sure if any other places charge a booking fee when paying at the door?

One of my favourite after football, before going `out` venues was Henry J Beans. Cheapo cocktails aplenty.

For a bonus point what was the wee venue in Summer Street called? Was it simply the Summer Street Community Centre? I think Crass and Poison Girls played there. Major glue sniffing area if I remember correctly.
