  1. still for sale? how does it suit blues?
  2. gretsch hi Son you still got the Gretsch? Graham
  3. We're looking for an experienced drummer to join our 5 piece rock/blues/funk band Red Dawg. Red Dawg are an established band, known around Scotland, and we have gigs lined up, but recently lost our drummer. If you reckon you've got rhythm, soul and can get along, then call me to arrange an audition. We have our own excellent private practice venue in Aberdeen, and a hot kit waiting. Call Graham on 07711 238223 NOW!
  4. anyone got a Fat Cat or Matchless guitar amp (30 - 40 watt) to sell? or maybe a similar boutique point to point amp...... cheers Graham
  5. We are still looking for the right bassist - maybe we're too fussy, but........ We're a rock/blues/funk band (2 guitars and drums) - all very experienced and looking for a talented bassist (any age) who can play anything (pretty well) with a good sense for contrast (hard rock, soft ballad etc), is creative and a nice guy to get along with (all influences relevant). Send me a PM if interested.
  6. bass + drummer + 2 guitarists maybe this is a solution. Ready made band. you, the bassist and us. Let me know if you fancy a jam.
  7. if you fancy a jam with two rock/blues guitarists while looking for your drummers, let me know. We're both very experienced. AND if you happen to have a bassist friend/acquaintance that would help. We are putting a band together for gigging, so.... let me know, cheers, Graham

    Drummer Available

band opportuity Hi I stumbled upon an old thread of yours and wondered if you are still looking for the right band. We are a new 4 piece in the making - blues/rock. Experienced guitarists, just found a bassist, but struggling to find the right drummer. Like you we are keen on gigs in moderation as we do other stuff as well. Maybe you'd let me know if you fancy a jam to check out us/style/chemistry etc. Unless you're already up to your eyeballs in the best band ever. Cheers Graham
  9. Looking to gig with experienced musicians? PM me.
  10. thanks a lot for that - i'll give them a try:up:
  11. What are the best places to use in Aberdeen for rehearsal? I only know of Captain Tom's
  12. Orange (believe it or not) is the colour i want
  13. bassist Hi I don't have any samples as such. I guess it's a mix of BB King, Clapton, Joe Bonnamassa, older stuff, kind of mixed up with Aerosmith, Foreigner, toto, and stuff like that. So kind of blues rock. We're probably about twice your age (40s). We've both played seriously in a few bands over the years, hard rock and blues and a bit of country too. So we're kind of experimenting for now, and want to see if we can find a strong rhythm section. We are in contact with a drummer who sounds ike he should be really good. We're in the process of finding a venue for rehearsing right now, and will look to get together for a fewof hours to see what happens. I know Spike and I work well together, so it's finding the bass and drums now! Have you gigged much, and if so what kind of stuff have you been doing? Cheers Graham
  14. We need a very strong drummer and bassist (as in extremely competent) for our new blues band. We are two experienced guitarists/singers, focused on solid blues, with a hint of other stuff thrown in. We'll do a mix of our own songs and our versions of other people's. Jamming essential. We plan to gig once a month or so, and have a lot of fun. Interested? Let me know.
