We haven't seen the results yet. The boom in the housing market that's now gone bust is pretty similar to the credit binge we had in the roaring 20s and while I don't have a crystal ball I'm fairly convinced that we're going to see a very sharp contraction in our economy that will probably last a decade.
Ask yourself what exactly it is that we do in the world to deserve all this easy credit and consumption while the Chinese work their fingers to the bone, scrimping and saving to provide it for us. How long do you think it'll take them to figure out that they don't need us?
Anyone who thinks this recession isn't going to affect them should listen to Peter Schiff.

Louis CK is in the new Ricky Gervais film he's written ('This Side of the Truth, not Ghost Town). There was a great video of him and Louis CK experiencing severe turbulence on a private flight with Louis shitting himself and Ricky Gervais finding his terror incredibly funny.

Pretzel Flipz i believe they were called.
It combined 2 of my favourite things: Pretzels and chocolate.
Whoever came up with that is a genius.
I could just go for some of that right now.

I've never seen them in the UK, but in the US, WholeFoods sells AMAZING yogurt covered pretzels. They're the reason I came home about half a stone heavier last winter.

just had a prawn biriyani from the blue elephant and since the prices went up 10% the taste has dropped about 20%. Fairly bland today 6/10

Kids programmes just doesn't as good these days.
after actually downloading some of the cartoons I used to watch as a kid I can safely say that spongebob and fairly odd parents kick the arse off any of the kids programmes I grew up with.

I'm not sure if it's available in Aberdeen but in our old flat in Edinburgh we had blueyonder (now Virgin so maybe different quality) and it was solid. I think in the 3 years we had it it was unavailable about 2 days max but we always got top 4mb speed when it was available. I'm sure it's up to 20mb on the top package now with test runs in areas of England doing 50mb. It was more expensive than the adsl packages but with 3 other flatmates only about 2 more a month per person and better upload speeds.
