  1. Once i'm paid this month (and next probs) i plan on gettin some toys :)

    Boss TU-2 (finally)

An Eq pedal of some kind (suggestions? good for bass.)

A delay and a synth. Probs the boss ones.

and a pedal board that ive yet to decide on. any ideas? would like a power supply too hmm. . .

    (thanks :))

The Boss TU-2 is a great tuner, I've had mine for about 5 years now.

  2. I just ordered an Electro-Harmonix Small Clone, My first gear purchase of 2007:up:

Instead of the Small Clone, I went with an Electro Harmonix Clone Theory and a Boss NS-2Noise Supressor.

I got a Little Big Muff coming soon.

  3. I had the same probs here as i use a pedal train now and again and regulary change the effects over. I tried normal velcro but found it never held very well.

I found a few places on the net that sold industrial strength stuff which was the biz.

Was about 20 quid for a large roll though. Not sure if there is places in aberdeen that stock it but i would recommend it more than velcro you get from shops like john lewis

I'll have to look into this, I plan on building a pedal board soon.

  4. I'm not a fan of Electro Harmonix pedals at all. As stated already, the effect is unusually quiet on a clean guitar - even more so if other effects are used, despite it's position in the chain.

I'd go with Digitech or Boss, to be honest.

I'm not sure if I'm a fan of Electro-Harmonix either, I've only owned the Nano Clone Chorus which I didn't like and sold on Ebay. I've always liked Boss pedals, never tried Digitech though.

  5. I was thinking about getting a big muff pedal, should I get the USA Big Muff Pi Distortion/ Sustainer or the Little Big Muff?

Anyone here have experience with the Little Big Muff? Soundwise is it any different than the regular USA version? I know that it is smaller but is that the only difference?

The Little Big Muff is about 10.00 dollars cheaper.

Will this sound better than My Boss DS-1?

    I appreciate Your help.

  6. Cheers for all the info, I played some Squiers and Yamahas in the shop and then ordered one of those vintage modified Squiers. (Upon asking people whether white guitars are naff, more people said yes than no, but I like it.) Should be arriving tomorrow

    Watch out Billy Sheehan _

Be sure to let us know what You think of it:up: I'm thinking about getting the Squier modified series Jazz Bass because it's fretless and has that Jaco Pastorius vibe going for it.

    Which one are You getting?

  7. The point he's making is that you're an American, living in America, posting on a Scottish local music site about nothing except Fender guitars and Fender products.

Frankly it does seem highly suspect and if I could actually prove you were a Fender employee or some strange street team member or something I'd ban you from the site. But I've checked your user details and checked your profile on other websites and you do just appear to be a very vocal fan of Fender guitars.

Yes, I'm an American living in America just like it says in My profile and I'll admit I know nothing about Aberdeen, Scottlands local music scene.

I do post alot about Fender gear but I have posted about other topics as well.

I'm sorry but I like talking about gear, I've played bass for 10 years and just recently started playing guitar less than a year ago, I'm really interested in guitars and modifications and such and brought up these topics not for personal gain but because they are topics I enjoy talking about. I usually post on Harmony Central under the same screen name and sometimes it gets pretty slow there, I was just looking for a another place to talk about guitars and effects I had no Idea that this wasn't a good idea, if I've upset people I'm sorry, just delete My posts and I'll stop posting here.

    Thanks,

    Lloyd:up:
