  1. Hey folks,

I am selling my Washburn Idol. It's the WI-66Pro model in red with a black 'burst and quilted maple.

This guitar comes as standard with Seymour Duncan pickups, Buzz Feiten tuning, Grover tuners and Washburn's VCC control which can give you humbucking mode, single coil mode and anywhere in between.

It's in great condition, hardly been played since new. This guitar was fantastic value for money when new, so even more of a bargain now.

I'm looking for around 300. Please feel free to ask any questions and PM any offers. I will deliver around the Aberdeen area for no extra charge.

  2. Up for sale is my Washburn WI66-Pro in wineburst.

This guitar comes with Seymour Duncan pickups, Grover Tuners and Buzz Feiten tuning all as standard! It also uses Washburn's VCC system to enable any sound from humbucking to single coil. Mahogany body, maple top, mahogany set neck, etc. Just a solid workhorse that'll cover anything you want!

I have never gigged this guitar so it is in great condition. There are a few light scratches on the front and back from plectra and clothing. No deep scratches, no dents, etc.

All I'm looking for is 290ono. Please PM me to discuss.

Sorry the pictures aren't great. If you want a close up picture of any particular part, let me know and I shall do my best!

  3. Hey folks. I'm thinking of selling these guitars because I never use them and there is not much point having them lying around gathering dust.

    Washburn WI66-Pro

Seymour Duncan Custom Custom at the bridge, 59 at the neck. Grover machine heads, buzz feiten nut, etc. Just a totally solid workhorse. 330.

    Maverick X1

Maverick's own LQ-6 humbuckers, slab 'board, etc. One slight ding on this which I can try and get a closeup of. This has also had a killswitch installed next to the pickup selector. 220.

Feel free to drop me a PM, make an offer, etc.

  4. i wasnt too impressed with his mods, i started out modding by using folk like this but then realised the parts he sells are basic and cheap to save cash. i.e carbon film resistors which i dont think sound as good as metal film and also he uses tantalum 1uf caps instead of panasonic metal film 1uf which make a huge difference. also the depth of his mods i thought was basic as theres lots more that can be done to the pedals but i think thats just a case of saving cash instead of giving customers more.

be wary like cos you get customs tax for the kits as i found with one o them. your really best buying the instruction sheets and then buying the parts in the uk!

Pretty different to my experience then!

I have done two of his mods and each one has totally transformed the pedal. As a DIY enthusiast, I'm delighted that someone will do all the leg work for me, package it all up with some easy to follow instructions and not charge the earth. If I had to search out all the bits myself, I would end up having to buy in quantites far greater than I would need to mod one pedal. Plus I'd have to spend a fair while looking for the parts online, and most parts places I've visited required a minimum spend of 10 or more before they will let you order anything.

I am perfectly happy with the mods I have done. They have been completely hassle free, and extremely effective. Fair play to you for tweaking things beyond that level, but personally I couldn't be bothered. The moment it stops being fun, I don't see the point.
