  1. Update for all - the band are taking a wee rest due to busy personal lives/work commitments etc,....so are no longer looking for someone, until they fancy getting back for another go later on, and this could be some time away now. Thanks to all who replied we have your contacts noted and the guys will let everyone know if things do change.
  2. Should have mentioned there is very good bass player in the band too..!
  3. Looking for a solid lead guitarist to replace me in a leisurely, friendly covers band as I am moving away from the area. The stuff we do is everything from rock n roll, 60's/Beatles, 70 classics, 80's chart hits right through to some more "modern day" chart covers, in fact anything which is instantly very well known and sure to please the crowds. Nothing too technical, and we already have a full set of songs ready of around 30 odd numbers. We rehearse in Captain Toms usually 2 or 3 times a month. There are a couple of gigs in the pipeline and a lot of potential for the band to be gigging regularly. The line up is: a Female lead singer, 2 female backing vocalists, very solid drums, keyboards and rhythm guitarist. The songs are chosen to feature the singers and provide a great time for the crowd . There are a few easy solos to learn. Its the wrong band for you if you are looking to feature yourself as a budding Jimmy Hendrix, Steve Vai or Slash or if want to push any agenda for any other sort of obscure/self indulgent sort of crap which the crowd has never heard of... if you catch my drift If you can handle that, and are pretty easy going, willing to learn the set without trying to change the band formula, then get in touch.
  4. tell me more about the classic vibe strat...colour condition etc - could be interested
  5. We need a keyboard player and a bassist to join a band to play functions/weddings/corporate/party gigs. At the moment we have a female singer, a drummer and a guitarist and we rehearse in Westhill. We will be playing all styles of music and are looking for versatile/flexible musicians of a good standard who can handle anything from light jazz, country through to rock and a lot of pop/chart music.
  6. Our band (bass, keyboards, female singer & a guitarist ) needs an experienced drummer in age group 40's - 60's with a view to gigging playing functions, weddings parties etc - rehearsals starting in February. We will be playing all styles of music - jazz, pop, rock, country and we need someone who can play these.
  7. I am in my 40's and very experienced on guitar and I play all styles, - rock, pop, funk even some jazz and all in between. I want to put together a 4 piece covers band for doing gigs playing old and new stuff, I would prefer older and experienced musicians (aged 30 ish and up) and hopefully ones who can play their instruments well. I need a Bassist, Keyboard player and Drummer only at the moment. If interested, PM me.
  8. Should've gone to specsavers: http://www.auto-connect.co.uk/im07-instrument-vocal-microphone.html
  9. Guitarist (42) looking for other band members. I would pref mature musicians in age group 30 and up to any age (the older and more experienced the better). My style is smooth jazz/blues guitar like George Benson, Norman Brown, Jeff Golub etc I want to hear from a drummer, a vocalist, a keyboard player, bassist, sax and / or any other instrumentalist looking to put together a smooth jazz style band. e-mail: rocktojazz246@yahoo.co.uk
