6 Music festival is in Glasgow this year with a pretty good line up! Tickets on sale this Friday from 10am

Quite a good line up, though not sure I'll go given that it'll be on the telly in some form.
Pleased to see it's in Glasgow. I was pretty much certain it would be, but nice to see in any case.

My favourite song of the year so far is by the 'Turkish Future Islands':

Not an AGFW nor a pet hate but a funny comment in my office yesterday...
One of the web devs was wearing a Jets T-Shirt (NFL team). I bump into her in the kitchen and say 'Go Jets!... didn't know you were a fan'
her reply: "Well, i'm not really... i mean, I don't even know all the characters"
CHARACTERS!!! She meant 'Players' but said 'Characters'!!!
We both got a good chuckle out of it.
Maybe she wants Brendan Rodgers to be their coach.

I've never heard of Baroness Rachael Heyhoe-Flint before but that's an excellent name and she deserves a mention.
Heyhoe let's go...
Don't know if she was a Ramones fan though.

Quite a tricky year to assess for music, with a lot of patchy or 'quite good' albums but not many that really excelled. Probably more a year for individual tracks than whole albums. Anyway, these were ones that I thought had a bit extra:
Kevin Morby ‘Singing saw’
Flock of Dimes ‘If you see me, say yes’
Form A ‘Physicalist’
Hannah Peel ‘Awake but always dreaming’
Honeyblood ‘Babes never die’
Laura Gibson ‘Empire builder’
Let’s Eat Grandma ‘I Gemini’
Preoccupations ‘Preoccupations’
Angel Olsen 'My Woman'
Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith and Suzanne Ciani 'Sunergy'
Not sure of the best, but possibly Kevin Morby.

Dani Osvaldo was one of my favourites. I'm not sure what he's doing at the moment, but I was majorly into Italian football when he was at Roma, and that man is just a perfect footballer. Bags of flair and technique, but super inconsistent, and my god was he an angry bastard. I remember when he smacked Erik Lamela for daring to shoot instead of passing to him. Dude was just as likely to curl a 30-yarder into the top corner as he was suplex an opponent into the advertising boards.
Some recent details on Dani Osvaldo here:

I'm looking forward to hearing his music.

Fun fact: 'Colonel' is his real name.

I think any claims that Leicester were right to sack Ranieri are undermined by this:
