  1. I agree with letting the younger folks in as Idlewild were one of the first bands to get me listening to music with passion when I was much younger than 18.

Totally agree here. Idlewild helped me discover music, this was when I was about 14, people this age should be given this oportunity to see them.

Thought they were amazing at the Music Hall, can't wait for 29th now.

    :)

  2. With both Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 and Fifa 2008 being out for some time now, which game do you think is best? Personally I am a PES man, but nearly all my mates are loving the new fifa title. I just feel it's all about the tricks and showboating and they have forgot about the game of football its self and flow of the game. Don't really like the new dive feature in PES 2008 (had about 200 yellow cards because of diving), but apart from that the game seems pretty good.

    What do you think?

  3. The majority of Aberdonians have probably never even heard of him.

Plus I don't think he should have to be the support act for anyone. Particularly a band who's recent material has been extremely disappointing.

I think Serj wouldn't have been complaining supporting one of the biggest bands in the world. It would be good publicity for him.

What you said was a pretty ambiguous, and sparked a debate, there wasn't much hostile behaviour until you replied...

  4. Was an ace gig! That's me seen Foo's 3 times now, but last night was definatly the best. I really loved the video link before the encore too, that was so funny.

I'm really glad I got tickets and I'm really impressed by the quality of bands that are playing in Aberdeen these days. I hope with bands like the Foo's playing, will make other bands want to come and play in the deen.

Here's some of my fav pics I took:):

  6. Some of Idlewild's acoustic stuff is amazing. Roddy Woomble's solo album is also basically a whole acoustic gem of an album.

Incubus offer some good acoustic listening and if your looking along the same lines as get cape and city and colour, you should definatly try some acoustic death cab for cutie, it is excellent.

Not saying i like entirely like this band, but Dashboard Confessional have some good acoustic tunes, their old stuff is quite good.

Also along the lines of CITY AND COLOUR, you could check out the PUNK GOES ACOUSTIC ALBUMS, they are pretty decent.

    Here's a good start:

    :D:D

    hope it helps
