What happened to that gig on the 22nd of Feb? Has it been canceled?

I think Bill only had his vintage tube screamer with him for added distortion to his Marshall plexi when I saw Liars Dice on Friday, he had an MXR EQ for a boost aswell, but I didn't notice him using it. Infact, I don't think I've seen him use any boss pedal except a TU-2 tuner for a while now. I think Jamie may use a DS-1 or something with FUBAR, not too sure though, some boss distortion anyway. iirc it sounded not bad but not as nice as a tube screamer. I've just never been massively impressed with boss distortions.

Avoiding JCM 900's is seconded, I'm fairly sure they are regarded as one of the worst all valve amps Jim Marshall has ever put his name to. I'd go for a DSL50 from the JCM 2000 range. They can be a bit buzzy and fizzy, but imo that's only an issue if you are playing stuff that isn't hard rock or metal. Only problem with buying a head is that you would obviously need a cab to run it through, which would probably add an extra couple of hundred to the price. If that is an issue I would look into a JCM2000 DSL 401 combo. I've also heard good things about the Laney LC30 combo, not heard one in person, but might be worth a look.

On the topic of distortion pedals, I'd say avoid Boss, try an Ibanez Tube Screamer or, if you want to invest serious money, a Tonebone.

Yes, you may be overlooking the badness of PES this year due to the novelty of Liverpool being one of the official teams, which for you is probably a major thing. Once you get used to the shooting in FIFA scoring goals becomes a lot easier, though I still can't score from further than 30 yards.

Halfway through my second season with the Dons, highlight so far was showing Inter how it's done in the group Stages of the ECC. 5-0 at the Giuseppe Meazza and 3-0 at "Town Park" or whatever the fuck they call the random ground that actually isn't a million miles away from being Pittodrie. Lee Miller, Darren Mackie and Zander Diamond are gods!

Yeah, the nuclear explosion is fucking awesome to watch, I killed Burke and Tenpenny after to vaguely regain some karma (and to get Tenpenny's sniper). I seem to keep doing what I think is the morally right thing then losing karma for it, does this mean I'm really a bastard at heart?

What version have you got? Coz I've had none of those issues with mine (for 360).

I have an SVT-410HLF but at one gig I went through a B series 410HLF cab (the other dude offered me use of his cab to save me taking my own), it sounded O.K but the SVT is notably nicer.

I've been a Pro Evo man for years, and now I've converted to FIFA. This year it's just so much better.

Not a fan of Gallows in general and I can't say I like that cover much, however, Coheed's version of The Trooper and Machine Head's cover of Hallowed Be Thy Name are both amazing!

You should be able to get an Epiphone Les Paul or SG for that price. PRS S.E series guitars would also be worth a look for that sort of budget. If it's something with single coils you want then I second the suggestion of a Mexican Strat/Tele, however if you hunt ebay you might even manage to find an American Standard series for that sort of price. Even if they are about 400-500 it would be worth the extra money for the gains in playability and sound quality.

That was the funniest thing I've ever seen in The Tunnels. Best part was looking around at everyone else there, they were all wearing faces of sympathy and looking at eachother like "shit, is he ok?!". Meanwhile I'm doubled over laughing.
