  1. Thought there would have been more intrest in this.

But anyway it opened this morning in the academy, havent been yet but from what ive heard theyve got a few good guitars.

They're an authorised fender dealer so thats me sorted. I'll never have to set foot in rnb again :D

  2. Hey guys,

i was browsing ebay and came across a telecaster that looked pretty nice.

but looking at the neck i found it weird there was no mention of telecaster on it.

so it left me thinking its fake. but even still it looks a nice guitar and the serial number came up as genuine.

could anyone backup my opinion of it being fake or not, it seems a good fake at that but im still a bit unsure about purchasing it.

I bought this second hand last christmas for £200 quid from ebay.

Its a fantastic playing guitar very well built.

I recently fitted a Seymour Duncan hotrail into the bridge and this will be included in the sale.

I must point out the previous owner did not take care of the guitar as there is a chip in the nut near the bottom E string. (as pictured)

And on the back there is a pretty obvious chip but i cannot be seen from the front view.

    (will post picture later)

both are cosmetic and do not affect the playing at all.

I saw the same guitar on ebay go for £230 last week.

So im looking for 150 ono and il chuck in a padded ritter gigbag.

    Can be delivered.

    Fantastic Guitar.

I bought these a while back brand new and ive only used them 3 or 4 times but during moving i seem to have lost the power lead for the mixer.

I checked on ebay and an offical branded one is £9.99 with free postage so not expensive.

These are ready to go i bought new needles for them a few weeks ago. Havent played anything on it since the needle change.

Will chuck in 2 Anime Slipmatts aswell as the Numark Ones.

Bargain at £50 cash converters is selling these without needles and mixer for £129 so grab a bargain.

These can be delivered within aberdeen.

  5. What the fuck did I miss...?

    xx

Teabags old organ is currently sitting in my studio, fully working and fully clean i had to fucking scrub it dust and shite all over the caps.

bass pedals are still tempramental. overall its not as bad as everyone made out

  6. Thanks for all the advice folks! Also had some very kind offers of assistance, so thanks for those too. After reading a bit more about this on the web, a number of folks seem to think that necks/stocks can be even stronger after a good repair! Most of these folk seem to be in the business of repairing though, so not too sure.

I've found a luthier in Blackburn who might be able to help with glue and some pins for a reasonable price, so I might give them a try first. The place is Kinellar - http://www.kinellarguitars.co.uk/

Anyone have any experience of these guys?

    yeh Graeme is brilliant.

He recently ripped my floyd rose out of my japaneese strat and fitted it with the standard 6 screw trem.

    Top quality work.

His website isnt great but his work speaks for itself, he done a headstock repair a few weeks ago

I myself had a snapped epiphone neck woodglue and a strong clamp and woodfiller and wood cement goes a long way.

  7. Im a lead guitiarist, used to work as a teacher at inverurie school of music also played in the teachers pet playing covers of all ranges from dire straights to acdc to the cult.

Grew up playing pink floyd, queen, dire straights, peter green, aerosmith

Fairly versitile been playing since the age of 4 so 17 years now.

have a home studio and run a rehersal space up in garthdee so i know the ropes.

  8. Ive been producing electronic music for the best part of 10 years. I make my money through beatport itunes and napster.

You dont need anything you have pictured above thats just being anal about what your doing.

All you need is a good DAW like Reason or Ableton Live a bunch of Vsts And a good Midi Sequencer.

All this outbourd gear and modular nonsense is just so that you can be more hands on and know exactly the settings you are using, with time and patience this can all be acheived by using vsts and soft synths.

The only part i would possibly use another studio for is mastering but even then why spend hours making a track and getting the sound right to send it off and have another producer do the opposite off what you do.

If you want to waste money by going somewere then feel free thats your choice but most producers work from home.

  9. Its a laney tf700 the reverb channel doesnt work and doesnt have a tone knob.

other than that it works fine. I found it in an old cupboard earlier and forgot i still owned it.

it is an old head but i does the job

    30 ono anyone ?
