Is the person inside the helmet actually Lee Majors starring as Colt Seavers in hit 80s show "The Fall Guy" which had the theme tune "The Unknown Stuntman" (sang by Majors himself) which Like A Stuntman will be performing a cover version off on Monday night (with Graeme and Mike providing the "hey Hey" backing vocals)?
I really don't think promotors/organisers should be encouraged to get up on the stage to sing
-
Jesus does this mean all the older people who go tonight
will be greeting into their pints when this is played.
Hope EK disna start them off
-
The usual places. Go out and look.
Is it the black & white poster or the large colour poster which i have noticed in 1up & tunnels?

thats a very short time scale, I seem to remember Scotland getting great results in West Germany, Holland, Italy etc, when nothing was at stake other than friendlies
-
"WE'RE GOING TO WIN EURO 08!"
Scotland are great at winning friendlies, when something is at stake like qualifying for tournaments or getting past the 1st stages when they have qualified, their record is at best woeful. All this result & performance proves is that they have a wee bit of depth to their pool. However they must be kicking themselves for not qualifying for this World Cup, as they would probably give most teams a good game.

starting NOW' date=' for those of us in work -
[url']http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/4761035.stm
is that not like watching the highland league reserves
in comparison to the proper football coming up in Germany?

i think the go north organisers are wonderful, this year theve even managed to get their programme out before gonorth takes place
-
Barzin were very very fine last night & the new CD
is superb. My pals who I took along, also really enjoyed
the evening. Well done for getting them here, hope they
come back sometime.
-
Barzin on the wonderful Monotreme label will be truly exceptional tonight. Spend your money wisely & attend

Legendary Australian singer songwriter Grant W McLennan died in his sleep at his home in Brisbane on 6th May 06.
The Go Betweens superb band........................
-
yeah buit they fuse it with tomato ketchup and lumberjack shirts
If I have money I will purchase a ticket for LB tonight, but my prioirity is purchase a Barzin CD or two as they are brilliant from
the mp's i have listened to. really looking forward to this show.
-
Thanks' date=' I think its fairly certain they will have their new cd to sell.
Look out for the upstairs Barzin poster in 1UP, right next to it a
fantastic review of the Barzin CD[/quote']
thanks
ps the posters look really oustanding. a lovely minimalist
design in GREEN, with a diy add on
-
each to their own
i thought it was the highlight of the evening
Tape & BW's were definately the hightlight of the evening
-
I have been listening to Barzin, just as you said Chilli beautiful, will be bringing a few friends to this. Do you know if they will be selling
their new cd at the show. If so I will hang on until then to purchase it.
-
So there's a discount for students/unwaged' date=' AND a ticket from this will get you into Barzin for half-price? Kudos.
Only a couple of days to go now. [/quote']
being on the emaillist, my understanding is
1. if you are waged & buy your Triptych ticket in advance you will get into Barzin 1/2 price.
2. if you are unwaged or a student & pay on the door you will get a 4discount.
so you can't get both?
If so, I still think that is very very nice & they should be applauded for
giving something back to everyone who goes to see their excellent events
-
what are the exact dates for it again?
I missed it last year and could be very tempted to go this year if other aberdeen peeps are going.
Trademark *dribbles*
me thinks its sold out b4 the line up was announced
-
Erm' date=' do UB40's even exist anymore?
It's a bit crap for those of us out there who were smart enough to save money up when employed so that we don't need to claim benefits when unemployed :\[/quote']
quite, but its really great that a promotor offers a discount which
I shall take up..after all the Lemon Tree gives exactly the same
discounts plus a regulars discount on all their own shows. Despite
loving live music, I can only afford to go to a few choice events a month & any saving means I can actually increase my attendance.
This is a fantastic line up & I again applaud the promotors
for this initative.
-
after all the above i wonder what tshirt Alan will be wearing on Frid night @ The Lemon Tree?
-
8pm: doors

sadly i'm out of town tonight, but would highly recommend anybody to go & see Like A Stuntman; their cd - fresh air is not the worst thing in town, its really very very good & i think LAS will be pretty
amazing live. I wonder if they will sound more like Pavement than the Postal Service, of course in their own way?
I will however be in to see the sublime Ariel Pink on Sunday
