  1. there are some great songs - ie. hunting for witches, the prayer , waithing for the 7.18 etc but i agree it can be a little dull at points (unlike the first album, where there was only one song i didn't love). still a really good album in my opinion, just a shame it trails of a bit nearer the end.

  2. yeah it was riciculus behaviour, why would you pay to see a band and then throw stuff at them?

i really enjoyed the gig, just was a shame the atmosphere was lost a bit. by the end it really picked up tho, and the songs from the new album are sounding ace, espiacially the prayer and hunting for witches.

  3. yeah i saw it last night too - i loved it but there were slightly to many guns etc for me. i found the bits when they just kinda showed differents shots of the guns, cars etc with load music a bit irritating, but the cast were brilliant. :)

  4. right guys - i've just got an email from frank:

    hey katy

hope yr well. we're all gearing up for the tour at this end. we're currently investigating accomodation in aberdeen... not hitting you up, there's going to be quite a few of us, but i was wondering if you knew anyone who might be able to help out with somewhere for us to park and sleep? let me know. should be a fun show, list for you as ever

    ft

can anyone help? my house is far to small - for them all but if anyone can help can you please let me know?

this show is going to be a over year after i first booked him to play aberdeen - he has come such a long why since then. i am personally really excited to see him play with a band - but tbh - it can never be as good as million dead so i think he should stick acoustic!

just out of interest - how many of you lot prefer frank turner to million dead? it's interesting now that when his gig's are advertised now people don't even mention million dead!

  5. i do like the second album, but i think the first is much better. there wern't any songs on the second album that live up to somewhere across forever/my coco/jenny and others. but yeah, i like the new track quite a lo- i need to give it a few more listens tho.

i still need to see stellastarr* live, i missed them when they played dundee a while back.

  6. prison is supposed to do four things really - it is supposed to be a deterrent that acts as a threat and prevents people from commiting crime in the first place (it obv doesn't do this).

it is also supposed to be a place to keep people who are dangerous away, to protect society (which again obv doesn't work as people are let of prison after relitevly short sentances) it is also supposed to punish criminals (but again to many people in prison it is a step-up from what they're used to) and finally it is supposed to re-habilitate (which it totally doesn't do as most prisons are full of more drugs than on the streets etc)

so yeah, prisons are shit. cool

i guess this is backed up by the fact that about 80% of criminals re-offened within two years.

so what do you all think is a better alternative?
