  1. i would never buy a house above a public premises near the red light district in aberdeen, but unfortunately it seems the only way to get on the ladder in aberdeen at a young-ish age

I disagree with to an extent, my other bro paid 65k roughly for a pretty nice 3 bedroom flat although it's in Middlefield in the depths, it's been successfully broken into once and unsuccessfully broken into about 6 times!!

Im not sure exactly where else he looked but i believe above said bar was one of the cheapest. Least he doesn't have far to go for a pint or a shag!!!

  2. I feel very lucky with what i got. A 3 bedroom semi, a converted loft, garage and a massive garden. I'll have been in my house 4 years in April. I paid just over 70k for it which at the time was quite good. I stay in Northfield so i think that may have had something to do with the price, but its quite a decent area, with decent folk living round about and all the kids (Trouble) hang out quite a bit from me.

My next door neighbours have just their house up for sale and they are asking for offers over 120k. Im hoping to sell up this year, after i get married so hopefully ill double my money. Not bad for doing fuck all for 4 years!!!

I was actually looking at houses out by Westhills, Kingswells etc and prices for decent houses didn't seem as bad as i woud have thought. Hopefully they stay round about that area.

The funny thing is my youngest bro has just purchased a one bedroom flat above the Crows Nest for i think about 90k which is mental, especially for the size of it. Give me a massive house in the Suburbs any day!!

  3. I know, I've just filled in my ballot for the Bayern game and i'm hoping there's still going to be players to watch there!

I hate waiting, and i don't have the radio so i have to keep checking the bbc site for news. I have a bad feeling that a'bodys leaving :(

YEp, i've just filled in my ballot form too. Im offshore (supposed to be working) so im waiting for updates from here!! I have the same feeling! :swearing:

  4. When did 11 men on a pitch, and who they are, focused on a baa become so important in my life?! Cheeesh o_O

Tell me about it, most people lose interest the older they get but im getting worse. Ill be bitterly upset if everyone leaves this month!!

And some people say its only a game!! o_O

  5. Sometimes i wish that we didn't have the success we have had this season. If we played our bog standard pish that we were all used too, then these players wouldn't think they are better than they really are. Apart from more money, what can other teams offer these players? It's not like any of them are good enough for the Premiership, even the championship!! You just need to look at Anderson. Ok he has been hampard by injury but he, in my mind, was the best and most consistent player in SPL last season and even if he was fully fit, he'll be struggling to get a start for Sunderland.

But if these four want to go then get rid of them now and get something for them, and like Johnny mac said dont let them play what would probably be the biggest games of their lives!! Greedy Cunts!!!

  6. Watched Straightheads with Gillian Anderson and Danny Dyer the other night and i have to say that is the worst film of the year and very possibly the worst film ever!! Call me shallow or whatever but the best part about said movie is Gillian Anderson's breasts!!!

But watching Gillian Anderson bugger a rapist with a sniper rifle with a rather large silencer wasn't very pleasent!!!!

  7. I heard it was the dundee utd game he was suspended for?

Nothing said about it in the team news. That said, I was positive McGuire was suspended for us, but he's listed to play...

Yep i was wrong, not for the first time this year i fear!!

  8. For once I'm not sure about tomorrow's game... usually i'm really positive about finally getting this win, but not this time.

    Positives:

    - We are playing really well, conceding fewer silly goals and scoring lots.

    - Marius is playing brilliantly.

    - Our strongest team and formation (in my opinion) was played in the last match, so hopefully will be adopted in this one too.

    - Aberdeen are having their usual injury "crisis". Hart and Diamond are both out.

    Negatives:

    - Dons are strong at home.

    - Any time Lee Miller falls over the ref gives a pen.

    - We always seem to do something silly in this fixture.

Good to see we got rid of some deadwood in McCaffery and Ridgers today. If we can sign up our promising youngsters for at least another season, plus Phil McGuire i'll be chuffed.

I dont think you have to worry as i think he is suspended for this game!

  9. But honestly, Aberdeen have a very young, inexperienced, and technically limited squad. The result against Copenhagen was a freak result. We had no right to expect to beat Gretna and we'll have to work our socks off to even gain a point against St. Mirren.

I have to disagree, all through the past 2 seasons i have seen Aberdeen totally outplay and out class teams. Our bad games this season all seem to be away. Hibs was not a freak result, Dundee UTD was not a freak result. Plenty of times. The only reason Jimmy isn't playing the same starting 11 is the ammount of injuries we have, (Why all our players keep getting injured is beyond me). 4 Defenders out for Sat! We are goin to struggle against ST Mirren unless our players have the desire to win, which they clearly didn't have on Wednesday!

  10. I totally agree, after Wednesday perforamce, you cant lay any blame at JC. All the players have shown what the can do during Big games ie Copenhagen, but when it comes to the smaller games, it feels like they just don't want to be there.

I say it time and time again, but if you look for every ball, close players down as soon as they get the ball (Like Gretna did) you'll reap the benifits!! However to many players dont seem to really bother or really want to win that much!

We do need someone like Keane as JC said, someone who'll get stuck into their team mates for underacheaving.

What else is infuriating is how Jamie Smith can produce a display ike that in Europe but then plays against the team bottom of the league and, if i remember correctly, makes like one or two passes the whole game!!

I also don't think having Seve in the midfield on Wed would have made much difference even though JC looks at him to do the job and kick players into touch!

We really need to sart winning these games!! Starting with ST Mirren on Sat!

  11. I dunno if anyone else was at the game but JESUS FUCKIN CHRIST!! Just a little bit of fight would have been nice, taking nothing away from Gretna they went for every ball with passion. I thought it was still Christmas when Lovell, ill repeat that Steve LOVELL scored with 5 mins to go. But then they get a soft pen, which they miss, then still our inability to pick up people in the box leads to us still being shit on the road.

2 trips to Motherwell, where i thought we would at least get 3 points turned out to be 1 point. Anyway lets hope we can pick it up for St Mirren on Sat and Caley on the 2nd of January.

Im kinda glad im gonna be offshore, i dunno if i could handle travelling all the way back down to weegie land for that shite again!!

  12. We got a win against Copenhagen a draw against the Huns so im quite happy, although at half time yesterday, i fully expected us to go and get the win! But Rangers played well a man down, so i think a draw was a fair result!

I think we should get a decent few points over our next few games, we have to to get ourselves back up for Europe!!

Anyway im still a happy Dons supporter and i cant wait till Gretna!
