  1. Americans don't understand sarcasm as a nation. The point is' date=' they're not meant to spot it was written by a white supremacist, it's meant to get them riled up and follow the instructions to "attempt to reach out to the American White men who fall into the 18 to 55 age group." because " If you don't recruit more aggressively, your White brothers will continue to be lured by non-White beauties." and "The White race will soon be an extinct species. "

See how apparent the message is if you just look a little bit harder.[/quote']

Aha, I never thought about that. And yes, it's pretty bloody obvious now I do think about it.

  2. Angus is definitely under rated. Because AC/DC aren't an arty band, they don't get the credit they deserve for being musically talented. Same problem Rory Gallagher always seemed to encounter. I would agree Malcolm Young is the main talent in AC/DC (Angus Young openly admits it).

  3. You're talking shit mate. How has the 'Arctic Monkeys' got anything to do with 'Child Molestors'? Its not the same thing at all. Someone called the Child Molestors would be blatantly trying to cause controversy and get attention through their name. For christ's sake if people start hating music because of a band's name we're all doomed! Please explain how you think these are connected in any way.

    Mike

They're not and I never said they were.

  4. i think the point your making is dumb. I bet you would listen to a band called The Child Molestors just so you could hear what they're like. Unless you were molesated as a child.

The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster is a silly name but they are a great band.

I think the point I made was pointless, but thanks for taking the time to answer.

However, I'd be interested to hear why you'd think I'd be interested in checking out any band due to their name.

  5. Who really gives a fuck? We've been ripping the piss out of the Irish for long enough and they're on our doorstep.

If you can't take a joke (where no malice is intended) then there's something wrong with you.

Brilliant. That's easily the smartest thing anyone's said. As I said on another thread, the movement to ban anything that could even possibly be construed as racist (someone mentioned Baa Baa Black Sheep) only pisses people off.

  6. Leif, I was going to write...

"That's right, I've never been to either ground, never heard Celtic fans singing about the IRA or Rangers fans singing "fuck Bobby Sands". Never seen Celtic scarves with "The Undefeated Army" written on them or Rangers scarves with "No Surrender 1690" on them. Never even seen a Tricolour or St Georges Cross. Bastard, must have mixed them up with Partick Thistle again.

On the subject of Wegies, aside the fact I originally come from Glasgow, I don't really have any opinion on them one way or the other."

Then I thought, with the amount of abuse you wrote in your post to me (ie I'll call you names because I don't have an argument), you do a good enough job of sounding like a moron without any help from me. There's not point in arguing with people like you, because you'll go on till you're blue (or green) in the face about something that's so obvious to everyone else that it would be funny if it wasn't so disgusting.

I should add that I'm not going to get into a fight about this, because I don't want the thread hijacked with this subject.

  7. We have a similarly popular duo promoting racism and bigotry in Scotland - Rangers and Celtic. I fucking hate them.

As was said, in Britain, parties like the BNP and UKIP are pulling in more votes than they used to, the Labour Party are putting Asylum Seekers in prison for simply being here, the London media struck out against Liam Fox when he was running for the Tory leadership because it could have created a situation where Brown, Fox and Kennedy (ie. three Scots) were leading the three big parties. And to think that the left thought Britain would learn to live in peace and harmony, regardless of colour or ethnicity, when they finally managed to rid TV of that bastion of white supremacy, Al Jolson.

Generally, I think trying to convince people that racism is akin to scummery does more to polarise opinion than to solve the problem. Although I'm not excusing any racist (far from it), I think the left have caused a lot of the trouble through their constant self-righteous (puritanical is probably a better word) crusades against TV programmes, Enid Blyton books, household ornamnets, the English language etc.

  8. I thinks its very very important that this murdering maniac is executed very puplicly' date=' You never know, it might deter some other crazy despot from making more innocent people suffer for their pleasure.

As for a fair trial....no he wont, remember the Iraqi's are making up their laws as they go along at the moment.......but hey, who cares? behead the bastard and be done with it.[/quote']

I seriously doubt that Saddam being executed will stop any other budding autocrat from murdering people.

Generally, I don't see why everyone is so riled up about this issue. Lots of people are like Saddam, but the only reason people go on about him is because he gets a lot of media coverage here (EDIT - I've just answered my own question, never mind).

You could extend this a bit. Does Saddam deserve a more harsh punishment because he's killed more people? Remember when the government here had that scientist murdered over the Iraq dossier? What's the difference?

  9. i actually disagree with this' date=' my freind has a special edition squir p-bass, and it sounds great, better than my freinds fender j[/quote']

I got a barely played G&L L2000 for 600 second hand. My dad bought a Les Paul Custom for 750 second hand and a Yamaha SG2000 for 300 second hand. The deals are there if you look for them.
