  1. Very tough but I'll give it a bash!

    1. Fools Gold - The Stone Roses

    2. Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division

    3. Live Forever - Oasis

    4. Ever Fallen In Love - The Buzzcocks

    5. Can't Stand Me Now - The Libertines

    6. Just Like Heaven - The Cure

    7. There Is A Light That Never Goes Out - The Smiths

    8. Kinky Afro - Happy Mondays

    9. Dreaming Of You - The Coral

    10. Where Have All The Good Times Gone? - The Kinks

  2. Good to see a few votes for The Velvet's 'Loaded', I think it's a brilliant record from start to finish. 'Sweet Jane', 'Rock and Roll', 'New Age' and 'Oh! Sweet Nuthin' are absolute classics! C'mon Lightbody, where's your 10? And it better contain the greatest bass guitar album ever!!!!!

"Can I have your autograph?" He said to the fat blonde actress :D

  3. For any of you fellow anoraks of the game, here's a few books to read beside the swimming pool in the summer months!

Niall Quinn - The best autobiog I've read, great book, really funny, and an excellent insider's account of what happened within the Irish team meeting where Roy Keane and Mick McCarthy exchanged pleasantries.

Stan Bowles - Just finished reading it actually. Superb. They should put this in schools and universities! For those who don't know, he was one of the greatest players to grace the game, but is now penniless, due to his chronic gambling addiction! As well as tracing his career, you really get a great insight into the mind of a gambling addict, and the lengths that people go to get dosh to put on the dogs!

Robin Friday - Titled 'The Greatest Footballer You Never Saw', this book was written by Paulo Hewitt and Guigsy from Oasis. Apparently this geezer was some player, but a complete headcase! Very good!

The Miracle Of Castel Di Sangro - OK, so it's not an autobiography, but is a classic in its own right. Written by an American who gets into 'soccer' after watching USA '94, the story traces a lowly Serie C team, who make it to Serie B. The author eventually ties to give his input into how the team should play etc, and is a brilliant read and gives a great insight into Italian football.

  4. Alright folks, so what's yer top ten albums? Yeah, yeah, I know, it's a bit of a cliche and has probably been done hundreds of times before, but hey, who gives a flying you-know- what! I think most folk change their minds by the day, and it's an interesting way of finding out what's been floating everyone's boats!! And an interesting method of ripping the sh*t out of my choices!! For what it's worth, here's mine! (They don't have to be in order!!!!!)

    1. The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses

    2. Definitely Maybe - Oasis

    3. Exile On Main St - The Rolling Stones

    4. The Queen Is Dead - The Smiths

    5. Forever Changes - Love

    6. Abbey Road - The Beatles

    7. Loaded - The Velvet Underground

    8. Nowhere - Ride

    9. Squirrel and G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile (White Out) - Happy Mondays

    10. Rust Never Sleeps (Live) - Neil Young & Crazy Horse

All great in their own way. The Mondays debut album has to be the most underrated record in my collection, it's hardly ever spoken about, but the quality of the music is unreal, particularly Paul Ryder's bass playing. So there ye have it! Answers on a postcard...

  5. Yeah Lisa, Vapour Trail is magic! Here's today's 5:

    1. Where Have All The Good Times Gone? - The Kinks

    2. One Of These Days - Doves

    3. Fade Away - Oasis

    4. I'll Feel A Whole Lot Better - The Byrds

    5. Music When The Lights Go Out - The Libertines

  6. Ok Ok, I'm sorry, I do have more useful things to say! It was a personal joke amongst a couple of other users who introduced me to the site, who obviously haven't seen it yet!! They will find it hysterical I'm sure!! If you didn't like the post you could have easily ignored it!
