An award-nominated artiste (MoB Awards 2007 Finalist - Best Newcomer) Daiquiri Dusk is one of Scotland's sassiest starlets. Having trained with the Academy of Burlesque & Cabaret, Daiquiri offers her own take on burlesque - cutesy cheesecake at its best, incorporating a range of acts, from strip-teasing to tassel twirling to fan-dancing and balloon popping. Her burlesque skills have seen Daiquiri perform across the UK and USA; at some of the world's leading burlesque club-nights including Ministry of Burlesque High Tease (Glasgow), Flirt! (Nottingham), Lucky 7 Club (Edinburgh), More Tea Vicar? (Newcastle) and many more. She has also performed with Vegas! Scotland as a showgirl, appearing at the Connect Festival (Inveraray) in 2007.

  4. If Cream were a supergroup and the US/USSR superpowers, then the Black Tooth Rock Lounge is a superclubnight. Combining the rum-fuelled piracy of the Moorings, the sheer decadent filth of Fudge Promotions, Jagermeister's undying commitment to making you act like a drunken twat and the liberal happy-go-lucky attitude of Snafu, the Black Tooth promises live bands, the unpredictable antics of the Fudge DJ's and cabaret acts such as burlesque dancers and magicians. Arrive early, we don't abide by stage times and strict timetables.

Please check us out (and add us) at www.myspace.com/blacktoothrock...

  5. First night was good. Despite the snowy weather and Alamos having to call off due to poor driving conditions, we got around 110 through the doors. Kashmir Red played well, and we had Stevie the Magician in a little corner trickin' and a treatin'. Overall, we were very happy with the first night.

This Monday past, we had around 135 through the doors, with the mighty Bloodnut bringing down a good crowd early on. For a capacity of 350, having 135 people in makes a good atmosphere. The night shows every sign of building into a successful concept-based clubnight and I would definitely recommend coming down this Monday to see Baltimore-based lo-fi electro-punk outfit, The Death Set.

The list above shows that the Black Tooth is about more than just live bands and DJ's, and hopefully anyone who's been along so far has enjoyed themselves.

  6. Residing at Snafu, the Black Tooth is an imaginary venue, where rock meets cabaret. The drink is cheap, as are the groupies. On this note, we welcome our next act...BLOODNUT.

Well-versed in cheap members of the opposite sex, BLOODNUT are best described as stoner-metal. This I know for a fact. They play metal and are indeed stoners. However, laidback they are anything but. Justin's fingerwork teases not only the ladies but length of his musical instrument. For influences see Metallica, Alice in Chains, Dinosaur Jr. and Black Label Society.

    Support from TOY

Get down early, first band is onstage at 9.30pm.

Forthcoming: THE DEATH SET (7 Apr) // SAMURAI FURY (14 Apr)

  7. If Cream were a supergroup and the US/USSR superpowers, then the Black Tooth Rock Lounge is a superclubnight. Combining the rum-fuelled piracy of the Moorings, the sheer decadent filth of Fudge Promotions, Jagermeister's undying commitment to making you act like a drunken twat and (the not-yet-tainted-by-long-hair-or-air-guitar) virginal Snafu, the Black Tooth hopes to establish itself as a night dedicated to everything that makes rock n' roll the scurge of good family values.

As well as dance-floor gems from the Fudge DJ's, expect touring and local bands, dark cabaret, burlesque and amazing rocktails.

Every Monday night from the 24th March, entry is only 3/2 (concessions include rock sluts, one-armed drummers, mullets and pirates) and you can get watered for as little as 1 a vodka, 1.70 a pint and 1.50 a Jagermeister.
