  1. This is possibly the best gig that will happen in the tunnels this year. I cannot wait to play with the twilight sad. 14 Autumns and 15 winters IS the best album of this year. Sonic Youth, Noise, warbly scottish accent - brilliant! This band will be cult hereos in no time at all. I would go and see Household even if the weren't playing with The Twilight Sad. Kartta should fit in well, i don't really mind if noone comes to see us, however i will bust everyone in aberdeen's ass if the Tunnels isn't rammed on June the 20th!

    So there

  2. Maximo park at the lemon tree

this is a picture of the singer from maximo park when they played in the lemon tree two years ago supporting bloc party. MP were good then, klanky and mental. they're too slick now. i talked to them about byker grove and they all like crosby stills nash and young. good times

  3. ok this is how it works

Stewcat - Tintin - young, chirpy and enjoys spending his time with old seamen.

Alan Cynic - Professer Calculus - half mad and quite clearly deaf.

Craig and Eion Kilau - The T(h )ompson twins.

Scott Delawair - Bianca Castafiore - A diva that shatters glass

Kilau Coffee Shop - Captain Haddock - Loads of swearing, possible alcoholic and commonly befriending youth!

    Woop woop!

  4. heck i did it in five minutes. i'm a geologist by trade i don't know how to use words like you arty types...

Kitchen cynics - the Kitchen Cynics are a world renowned act bridging boundaries of folk, jazz and noise. Deeply rooted in North East mythology and folk lore the Cynics take the listener into situations that are reminiscent of the works of Fairport Convention or even the rose-tinted retrospective nature of early Truman Capote literature. Murder, sex and alcohol play key roles in the Cynics spiralling narratives.

One of Aberdeen music's older statesmen and a must see act, kinna folky stuff ken?

    so there.

  5. Hello! stable~table presents an evening of acoustic mellowness this sunday in Kilau Coffee Shop, Little Belmont Street.

Kitchen Cynics- Folky stuff from everyones favourite scenester.

Delawair- This man doesn't like Neil Young... but he does like other good music like Neutral Milk Hotel, Elliot Smith and Van Halen.

Holy FolksAnti folk from everyones favourite ginger scenester and friends.

  6. genius

micah p is a genius. you could not ask for a better set of his own material and a interpol cover thrown in as well! Many of the songs i have never heard before, despite owning everything he has released but that's no bad thing.

califone like there cds were interesting and had inspirational moments but maybe went on a bit too long. the crowd were noisey which either is a sign that people are rude and don't care about supports or that the band were not strong enough to silence people, as Micah can do.

Grant Campbel had a good voice and a warm guitar tone but a Memphis via falkirk accent always leaves me a bit dissapointed. clearly influenced by the boss and a nice leadbelly/rory gallagher cover at the end.

    good night all round

i say again. micah p hinson is a genius
