Cheers Chris,
I use Acrobat Standard and it had no available updates, does that mean I was already protected? What kind of symtoms should I expect if the blighter did get through?

I need some advice, yo!
A pdf document (called changelog.pdf) automatically downloaded itself through FireFox from one of those "win something for nothing" websites. It originated (so said the FireFox download manager) from a .ru address. When I went to delete the file I accidentally opened it. It told a warning, possibly something to do with no text, I closed it and sent it to the recycling bin. Pretty dodgy.
My antivirus (fully updated sophos) hasn't picked up anything. Should I trust it and carry on using internet banking etc. or is there further steps I should take?
Cheers in advance for any help,
H

Although, why I've been heralded as the lead guitarist in Kartta is beyond me:
- Phill Kartta busting out a legendary solo.

Becycle (Don St, Old Aberdeen) recycle old bikes and then lend them out (for free!). It kind of works on a library type idea, you have the bike 'til a set date unless someone else requests it. It's a great scheme and they're really nice folk - if you have a broken bicycle you can take it in and fix it using their tools. Apparently they also run "workshops where they exchange skills, spare parts and tools".
P.S. Humey Whilem is a big dutch wimp - Aberdeen didn't have enough canals for him to cycle along.

Went to the TTNGs show in dublin last night. It was in whelan's (the venue where Mr Debutant played on his jaunt around the isles). It was an odd line up, first support was a bunch of mentalists from the countryside somewhere in the vein of lightening bolt etc, seemed good but very loud. Up next were belfast's band de jour And So I Watch You From A Far, who i have been told great things about. Again they were blindingly loud but not as tight as i expected and a bit post-rock-by-numbers. I wasn't blown away but there were some good tunes within the sonic blast. Then TTNG came on, who, despite the fact most people were there to see the support, held onto the crowd. The poor sound hindered the clarity of the vocals and I immediately assumed i wasn't going to enjoy it. But they came accross as a likeable bunch so i perservered and was glad i did. Some really nice songs from a talented group of people.
So all in all an odd evening of entertainment. The aberdeen lineup seems a tad more suited to TTNGs sound!
