Yeah hopefully the new generation will rock but i wont be buying it for now.

Personally i have the creative mp3 player it cost me 149 thats 100 cheaper than the ipod and what i have been told the i pod wears out after awhile and needs to be replaced after 18mths.I could be wrong on this so dont quote me on this:)

I,m not one who is narrowed minded for one i have wider vared music taste than most people on this server.And two i check something out before i start opening my mouth what so far hardly any of you have bothered todo is check some of the bands and you will find a lot of them are not powermetal.Powerquest Dragonforce Seasons End is Uk Powermetal.Strange that the rest of the bands dont sound like them dont you think oh i forgot you have already prejudged without listened to them sad story indeed.Rest are very hard and heavy and the singers dont sound like powermetal singers.The only real powerband is Seasons End in my eyes and being a power dj think im a wee bit more experienced in judgeing them.Ok were are dancing around the subject execpt for a few people it seems aberdeen does not want the Bloodstock roadshow and i will passing it on to Vince i will be linking this so he gets the whole story and recommending he drops Aberdeen.If he heads my advice thats his decision.

All Big metal festivals in europe has loads of powermetal bands playing and headlineing wacken includeing as usual unfor people have a problem of opening their mouth and not reserching a subject properly Vince and Bloodstock for an example.As some people have pointed out all rdy to lazy.As for bands who no real talent they do their own music and get it sold.14th April 2003 - BLOODSTOCK VOTED NO. 1 !!

The BLOODSTOCK Festival has been voted the number 1 Gig/Tour for 2002 by the readers of Powerplay Magazine. This is an amazing feat considering the top five looked like:

1. BLOODSTOCK

2. Wacken

3. Sweden Rock

4. Monsters of Rock

5. Gods

Just a qoute i pefer actions over words.

And all these great festivals have Power bands playing and headlineing.

Calling bands like Hammerfall Nightwish Rhapsody Dragonforce and another 50 bands i dj no talent bums hmmmmmmmm i smell bs bigtime.Also want to remind you Manowar headlined over Metallica at Wacken.I dont mean to be bitchy but if the local bands are so great why dont they play festivals and outside north of scotland.I'm not saying that all bands dont come to Aberdeen but it as far i can tell ones who are going places dont.As for poeple not beleiveing there is a person called Vince well to be honest this getting tiresome and its noskin of my back if this happens or not.I will go and see Hammerfall next year in derby at Bloodstock whatever happens.

If you want to attract bigger bands and promotors you must be able to show that you can turn up to smaller ones.By the way Vince is one of the biggest promotors in the Uk who runs Bloodstock and added to that he could help local bands.He has a lot of interest in not so well known bands.Final say for the night:)

Ok now we have that all out the way lets all play nice or i will rip out your arms and hit you to death with the wetside .Time for me togo or eliz is gonna kill me:).

It seems that Aberdeen is the last to hear of these bands and Bloodstock.And you want bands to turn up.I want to be peacemaker but there is an error in your thinking.This is not just about metal its about the music scene fullstop.

For 2 years i have tried my best to get anyone interested in playing Aberdeen.I have actually stuck up for the music scene here but now i just dont know.

Pride Before A Fall you cant expect bigger bands to come if you wont support the up and comeing ones.I did not come on this site to start an arguement i honestly thought i was doing Aberdeen a favour maybe i was wrong.

Ok were are not talking the 90s we are talking 2000s nobody wants to come here because of this from of attitude.

Ok i understand you dont know much about metal bands you would actually like some of them in the power gene for you i would probably recommend Nightwish.

As it happens i have a very varied metal taste and the only metal i cant stand is neu metal.Its not just powermetal i support.And i know my metal bro gabriel feels the same way.

Valley69 your not much of a metalhead them and defin not a manowar fan who you where hinting at.Strange you goto the mooring if you really cant stand metal bands.Considering most metal bands scream.

Bands like Panic Cell Invey Fourwaykill NNTH, Infobia, Humnaity, Illuminatus, Season's End and Biomechnaincal could be playing.Hopefully not panic cell they sux i was already planning my own gig with other better bands but i want to see how this one goes first.This is only in the first stages.

Ok everyone i dont hate the local bands just not my taste ok.As for bands Vince is bringing up they are not all powermetal.You might not think much of what im saying but i have been pushing since i have started going to Bloodstock to get some of them to come up.I want the best for Aberdeen and this is a step forward not back.

Ok name one decent gig in the last 2years what even comes close to quality what Vince is offering.

These are the biggest and up comeing bands in the country.I agree im not a massive fan of panic cell but what do you guys expect Iron Maiden lol dont answer that.Nothing personal to any of local bands but i dont think any of you are in their league

Last decent band what played Aberdeen was Saxon.I have seen Faith No More twice in Aberdeen once at the capital and another time at nightclub what used to be called the palace.Get a decent nite together and we finally get bands comeing up not just locals and i start comeing out again.

You support this and i will do my best to bring more bands up.As for local bands im gonna talk to Vince try to get him to add a local band to the gig as i said no false promises but Vince does help out up and comeing bands.Who knows we might have an Aberdeen band may play bloodstock one day.

Ok so people knows im not the promotor Vince is.Bloodstock was voted the best festival in Europe last year.Im just one of the people who has supports Bloodstock and has contacts in it.This was only decided last week that the roadshow is comeing and im passing the news on and doing some ground work for it.If you dont think Vince can promote just have a look at www.bloodstock.com.uk for yourself if Vince is doing this it will happen and people will know about it properly.Im testing the ground just now see what reaction im getting and i will pass onto Vince if i think people will come or not but its very early days so please chill i want this to happen Aberdeen needs it .Im just rallying support.

I have been a member of Aberdeen Metal Scene for more years than i want to remember.Ten years ago i would of died for the friends and contacts i have down south now.Just want thank the people who showed interest in the Bloodstock Roadshow so far but its just not enough.We have be moaning and complaining for years that bands wont come to Aberdeen.This one of the reasons why they wont come is because when push comes to shove Aberdeen crowd just wont come out in numbers or show the interest what other cities do.I hated haveing to say that but i come from this city and i hate haveing to travel south to see bands.Come on Everyone if your a metalhead or not support the Bloodstock Roadshow and rally behind it .Show the bands that we want them up here and post your replies in support please and i can show the bands that you are interested and they are wanted.

Uk Defender Of Powermetal

You must of listened to the slower bands.Try the viking powermetal bands they rock hard and true.Nightwish is slow but Majesty Dream Evil Stormwarrior to name a few can play with the best.I respect your opinion though .
