    Just had a look at a few betting sites and holland like quite tempting at 16/1, or even czech rep are worth a shout at 35/1

    I think a European team will definately win it this year, only once has a team outside europe won the world cup when it has been held in europe

    Just can't wait for the world cup, English Prem is getting a bit boring just now

    The Rakes announce UK tour dates

    The band reveal 2006 plans

    The Rakes have announced details of their 2006 UK and Irish tour.

    Kicking off in Exeter on January 27 the band will hit the road until the following month when they wrap up in Belfast on February 12.

    Support for the trek comes from White Rose Movement and Duels.

    Speaking about to dates to NME.COM, singer Alan Donohoe said: "There will be a single in January (probably a re-release of 'Retreat') and then we will go on a brief tour, supported by White Rose Movement - we're big fans."

    He added: "You'll get your money's worth."

  3. Former Shed Seven front man Rick Witter has announced details of his new band

    and

    a week of live shows in Scotland.

    Rick Witter and the Dukes will be playing brand new material together with some

    classic Shed Seven tunes. The Dukes are: Rob Wilson on guitar, Stuart Fletcher

    (The Yards and ex-Seahorses) on bass, and Matt Lunn (ex-Colour of Fire) on

    drums.

    Saw some great sets on the saturday from Maximo Park, The Ordinary Boys, The Duke Spirit,El Presidente Super Furry Animals (new songs sounded great)

    Sunday - Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs, Kasabian and the Prodigy were my highlights from sunday

    Did anyone go to the Nintendo Tent to tell a joke, heard some horrendus jokes
