Gathering our equipment and records we hired the function room of The White Hart and assembled as many of our friends as possible to come and support our wee night. Within a few events we had established ourselves as a quality underground alternative. The night continued every month in Dumfries up until February 2005 when it moved to Glasgow. The move to Glasgow brought new members to the crew, with producer Aeroplane Dope joining the resident team as both a DJ & MC. In 2006, the night moved across to the capital with the help of old friends Overchore & Kid ill. Since Overchore has started, the night has gone from strength to strength, with the team putting on some great parties, as well as Alcanefeaturing at some of Scotland's most respected nights such as LiveVEvil, Jungle Magik & Xplicit. As Red Alert approaches its 7th birthday in August 2007, the residents continue to work on their own material, with Aeroplane Dope sitting on a catalogue of his own tunes and Alcane finding succes with a forthcoming release on Make:Shift Records (Canada). He has djed in many a foreign country such as Mexico, Norway, Czech Republic, Holland, Belgium and England. He has been involed in successful club nights such as TNT, Audio Assault, Breaks Beats and Basslines, Playground, Jungle Nation, Origin and Planet. He has played alongside such luminaries as Goldie, Scratch Perverts, Jungle Brothers and Dj Yoda to name a few. Apart from djing he has been successful on the production front having had several releases on Aberdeen labels Hook and Aquatrax. He is a regular on MeFm and has a weekly show on Shum Fm. Dj Tez is founder and resident at Jungle Nation and who has been a regular on the Aberdeen and Scottish scene since the early 90's. He is better known for djing dnb but can play a variety of styles ranging from hip hop to techno. He has played all over the uK and also ventured abroad to the USA and Czech Republic. Tez has djed alongside legends such as Public Enemy, Pendulum, Dj Hype, Grooverider and Q-Bert to name a few. He is currently doing a radio show with Shmu Fm and also a regular on MeFM. He has been involved in many nights over the years such as TNT, Playground, Slamfunk, Block Rocking Beats, Origin and Break Beats & Basslines to name a few. The Playground Old Skool Special 808 State (ZTT, Pacific, Ex:el, Cubik, In Yer Face) Dj Tez Saturday 10th March 2007 Kef Belmont st, Aberdeen 11pm - 3am Entry 8 808 State was formed back in 1988 in Eastern Bloc, a DJ record shop in Manchester run by Martin Price. Customers Graham Massey and Gerald Simpson got talking with Martin and soon realised how much they had in common. A Guy Called Gerald left to pursue a solo career. DJ\'s Andrew Barker and Darren Partington, a.k.a. the Spinmasters, got recruited on a permanent basis to fill up the gap left by Gerald. They went on to produce classic tracks such as In Yer Face, pacific and Cubik to name a few. They will be playing an old skool dj set.
