  1. hi all,

i got this from another forum. seems to work.

    1. Type "about:config" without quotes into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

    network.http.pipelining

    network.http.proxy.pipelining

    network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

    2. Alter the entries as follows:

    Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

    Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

    3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages 2-3 times faster now.

  2. Does anyone know as to when or even if dido is planning to release another album?

her web site is not upto date, which dosnt help.

I hope it is not too long, i really like her music. she has such a beautiful voice.

    many thanks.

  3. i do like the fact that i can move my money to my isa instantly. at the moment i am intending that the money going in there wont be coming out for a while, so not too botherd about the delay.

makes it so much easier to know the exact balance of the accounts too :)

  4. i have always been alittle wary of online banking, but i decided to apply after watching the other half using it.

got it working tonight, and i have to say i am impressed. immediatly able to move money into my isa.

only bad thing was, with BoS you are unable to sign into the banking for the first time with firefox, but the lovley lady from the help line sorted that out for me.

this is going to save me alot of time queing in the bank!

  5. if it was a needle they might insist you get a hiv test. otherwise, you might need a tetnus jab i think, and if you have had any jabs or immunisations you cant give blood. but i could be wrong.

There is a number on the scot blood web page - 0845 90 90 999, they may be able to tell you

  6. i gave blood for the first time on the 1st of december. nearly didnt manage it, as i was dehyrated/thirsty they struggled to find a vein.

I am also now on the bone marrow transplant list (as a donor) which is in my view, just as important.

i have no idea what blood group i am in at the moment though
