  1. ThirdEye, im guessing?

Hes not doing so bad, works for the council now, I.T support or something for the planning office.

Half the corp is in the 'big' ships now - our capital fleet is steadly expanding! Rob has already gotten himself a Carrier. I have the Minmatar set (Carrier & Dread) and we have another couple of guys with the Amarrian and Gallente sets. Just need to get the Caldari ones and we will have the lot.

  2. o/ Hi Dave!

Been playing it for more than 3 years now on and off. Was at the fanfest in Iceland last november as well - kinda handy having a few Icelandic guys in your corp, no shortage of places to crash.

Currently living down in Stain shooting at 'The Cartel' they seem to like our area of space abit too much.

  3. Plusnet outright lied to me, and even after rasing a ticket regarding packet shaping and why it wasn't mentioned in the FUP or the T&Cs replied, "If we told customers about this they wouldn't sign up" which I though was kind of cheeky.

With regards to the Plusnet packet shaping thing, I'm with Force9 (A Plusnet subsidiary) and it took me about 4 weeks of phone calls with them to solve a VoIP packet shaping probelm, they did get it solved eventualy but they were by no means quick about it.

On the flip side tho, if you go for their premium package you do get a shed load of webspace (250 MB) and a shell account, which noone else seems to be doing these days.

  4. One of the simplest things you can do is run the windows update once a month as well, most people I know turn off the automatic updates (which isn't a bad idea, as it is slightly anoying) but then they forget to do a manual update. Microsoft release new patches to solve the latest security problems on the second Tuesday of every month (April 11th being the next one).

oh and stay off the dodgy porn sites!

  5. As Neil mentioned already, you need to find out if your motherboard supports PCI-E or just AGP.

If your system is more than 6 months or so old, chances are its only going to support AGP - You can get AGP versions of the GeForce 7800 for about £180ish which will run anything out there at the moment and keep you going for quite awhile
