They are touring their breed of hardcore in the vein of Gallows up and down the country all summer long. Be sure to catch them cos they won't be back in the 'Deen for a long while.

  3. that feature was shit.

they said that 33% burnt was the best math metal riff ever. idiots.

and they also recommended a not so great Curl Up And Die track.

funny story, that guy who is above the aberdeen metal scene, "philswitch engage", anyone remember him?

When I worked in One Up and the new Curl Up And Die album came out, he came in on the day of release, took the cover to the counter and was then like "amazing, I have been waiting on this album to come out for so long, what does it sound like?"

    what a tool.

I'm not so familiar with Curl Up and Die, I must admit. Would you recommend them?

  4. I totally agree wit you 100% but I think its gay when peoplelike them for the wrong reasons.

It won't be long before "Obzen" is at the back of peoples cupboards.

Yeah, very true. The article in Rocksound (I think it was that magazine, possibly Kerrang though) was quite interesting about the whole math metal scene and how they want to distance themselves from it.

  5. Tunnels would be perfect.

How the fuck someone can say not to book them - saying that a loss would be made & not particulary liking the band - without knowing how much they'd cost or how many people would attend really fucks me off.

Surely they could be marketed on their connections to Brian jonestown massacre and Beck (Bobby Hecksher played bass on Stereopathetic Soul Manure) alone.

I've seen them. I own one of there albums although I forget which one it is.

As most people have said on here, they were the next big thing about 4 years ago...maybe not so much now.

I doubt they'd cost pittence with a couple of cans thrown in for good measure coming all the way over from America.

    It's just my opinion.

  6. That would be great but goin by those dates, there's no time. Although as I said, they are unofficial.

Anyone with Kerrang who can clear this up? Or Mr Milne since I presume it would be in Moshulu if they were to play the Deen.

  7. Looks like underoath are touring in September

    UNDEROATH FULL UK DATES

    Manchester Academy 2 - Saturday 6th September

Glasgow Garage - Sunday 7th September

Birmingham Carling Academy 2 - Monday 8th September

Cardiff Uni Solus - Wednesday 10th September

Norwich Waterfront - Thursday 11th September

    London Astoria 2 - Friday 12th September

Leeds Cockpit - Saturday 13th September

Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms - Sunday 14th September

These are unofficial dates but hopefully they're right.

Underoath followed by Meshuggah the next night. Sweet!

  8. If the current trend is rammed down our throats from all angles of the media and people who play in local bands happen to like the latest trends and fashion, then surely that's gonna rub off and that's why they end up playing what they do?

It seems only the lucky few who've been on the go for a while since the last trend started and still playing the same music once the current trend has passed do they get any credit for not following the scene.

Who really cares though?! It's apparent quite alot of people do. People play in bands cos they want to and cos for them, it's fun! Regardless of whether it fits with what's cool in NME or is appearing on the latest edition of Kerrang, these people are enjoying themselves.

Music is about fun, so let them have their fun in the way they enjoy!
