  1. i use both really. but im a pick player normally but sometimes i use my fingers. it depends how im feeling but like Graham above i use distortion as well as and when i can so to save it sounding muddy i use the good ol pick. probably about 90%pick if not more really and about 0%slap and pop...really dislike that style.

    all good but really...even they shouldnt have done it (although tommys spinning glass box he was in was kool) but yer i just dont think drums should solo really...it never works..

  4. I can't see how that is going to work. That doesn't move the fixing point much further forward. I'm with Tav on this one.

    And as for bass recommendations' date=' Ibanez SGR basses have really slim necks, almost akin to guitar necks. Good for small hands! Warwick Rock basses seem really good value for money. Look second hand. You might get a better quality instrument. I'm a big believer of buying quality gear as it will last longer, and if you've got a good bass that is nice to play and sounds good, you will be more likely to stick with it. :up:[/quote']
