  1. Anybody else going to see a leg of the Ross Noble tour this September / October? I managed to get two tickets for the Edinburgh show and another two for the Vue cinema up here as they're doing one of those live screening jobs for the same price as a cinema ticket.

P.S. Anybody else reckon he's the best stand-up comedian around at the moment?

I dont know if he's the best comedian at the moment but he's definately my favourite comedian - the stuff he does is totally my kinda humour!

I'd like to see him live in glasgow but if not I'll definately go to the cinema thing.

  2. I was just listening to Radio 1. Some lady from Glasgow just one 35 million and she went to get a manicure for the first time in her life...

It's a fairly obvious question but what would you do if you won a heap on the lottery?

Being someone who is not driven by material things, I'd like to think that I would give most of It away to improve someone elses life who needs it...although Id probably do some selfish things first, like build a studio.

  3. the scene is really made up of several small scenes. I cant really see things being much different...Everyone likes different genres of music and some people are pretty intollerant of certain things, it would be difficult to get everyone to support each other.

  4. ^ Exactly

I never make promises or make myself held to dates because it just creates dissapointment.

When ordering stuff I always used to say 'I cant guarantee a date as it depends on the supplier' it *should* arrive in 2 working days but it could be up to a week...

A lot less pain that way!

  5. I just want to point out that suppliers of guitar related things have a habit of being shit...

I can understand why your peeved! You want your guitar and you want it to arrive when you were told it would goddamit!!!!

BUT try to understand its not Bruce Millers fault...this kind of thing happens all the time with shops. The shop person phones up the supplier and says 'I have a customer who wants a guitar, can I get one?' they say yes and then dont deliver and the shop person looks like a lying shit....pretty much.

  6. thankyou for your support on mondays.....

MUDD now has a friday!!! ................you guys deserve a weekend night

    just one thing!!!!

throw the drink down your throats and not on the tables, floors.walls.....lol?(

one may find, one gets pissed quicker if one follows one simple rule!!!8-):up::up:

haha thats why the floor in Moshulu is so sticky!

  8. 2 cents:

The music press is responsible IMO.

They (Kerrrang/Metal Hammer) used to praise bands like papa Roach, Limp Bizkit etc. Then all of suuden Nu-metal was shit and old-school was the thing to listen to.

Bands like Chimaira were praised for wearing 'Ride the lightening' T-shirts. Chimaira had a more Nu-Metal sound when they first came out, then quickly changed to sound heavier/more old school. At that point the media came up with the term 'New Wave of American Heavy Metal'. Lots of bands with a similar sound were becoming popular at that time, includng Killswitch Engage etc. etc. From there we got EMO!

There was kinda 2 waves of Nu Metal in my mind. The first was the heavier stuff like Korn, Slipknot, Deftones. Then Limp Bizkit got big and there was bands like Papa Roach and Crazy town gaining popularity.

I still rate the Deftones as an awesome band, System of a Down are funny and some slipknot stuff is pretty cool. I think Korn did some interesting/different things musically at the time. The second wave of stuff is just pop crap!!!
