  1. AKA THE FOX are playing at King tuts on Thursday 1st July with Glasgow bands The Pedestrians and LaTonic. We are planning to arrange a coach there and back, could anyone interested let us know so we have a rough idea of numbers. The average cost would be 20 or less including both ticket and travel.
  2. Yeah, we are playing then at drummonds, good to hear you enjoy our gigs so much, I didn't realise they had that effect on people! Our bass player Steve programmes the drums, he used to write electro/techno prior to being in the band. Have heard a lot about the real shocks, I think I'll be there for your gig at the moorings on friday.
  3. This is confusing beacause there is two Marks, its not the Mark you introduced me to the other night, its Mark who runs exile.

We first formed at the end of 2003 starting off by playing at the jam session at the moorings on a sunday night, but our full line-up has only been established since the start of February. It is all happening really fast because we work very well together and have had a lot of support from many people. I think its also partly to do with not having a drummer which allows us to record our tunes straight onto the computer once we have an idea of what we're doing.

We have a gig at king tuts in June although we have yet to confirm an actual date and glasgow tommorow tonight at some warehouse. Very bad photo of me up there!
  7. Totally agree, and its good to hear all the different perspectives on the subject, at the end of the day its all down to personal preference, I think you made a lot of good points. We recorded a few tracks at exile studios last night by the way and it sounds rockin!
  8. Shut it, you know the point I was trying to make.
  9. Thanks Bob, it was a really good night, I enjoyed double jack and strobing goat and it was a pleasure to play with both of them. Flash, thanks for your support, where were you on monday night though, i thought you were coming down?.
  10. well flash, you know my opinion on the matter as we have discussed this several times and i'm glad that you have made some alterations to your perspective. The point of view from our band is that as much as we all love rock every one of us likes to go to techno/electro nights aswell. We use programmed drums because we are trying to merge the two kinds of music to create a sound that can be enjoyed by both crowds and us. Our drum loops still have soul beacause they are programmed by a real person . Some people at our gigs would never usually come come to see a rock band at drummonds but they like our music because they can dance to it. It does have its downfall though, as much as a computer is tight, it is the only member of the band that makes mistakes by jumping because of the monitors, although it was very well behaved on monday night! We are still open-minded about maybe getting a drummer aswell as the computer but we need to wait until the right drummer comes along.
