  1. alan - awesome' date=' nobody writes a better song than this man in abdn. moshulu beer indeed

nucleotides- very enjoyable, the first couple of tunes were covers apparently, lounge with a big foot up the arse. lovely uniforms

salon boris- decent but didnt really light my fire

marcia blane school for girls - absolutely awesome, made the hair standup on my neck. gorgeous

drat - dripping with melancholy. i love this band, they write lovely songs and seem like nice guys. they plwyed my version of events from the fudge cd. acccccceeeeeeee

sound development agency - gah, not my thing at all, went on a bit :(

65daysofstatic- the best band i have ever seen. it moved me soooo much. i cant explain, except for AWESOME.i love this band. awwwwww

some of the films were outstanding. particularly the one by "hannah" about globalisation and corporates, and ziggys movie which was ace, i loved the concept around it[/quote']

I really wanted to dance with you Maxi during 65 Days but there wasn't enough alcohol in my system....65 Days of Static were definitely AWESOME and the amazing dancing going on was both hilarious and bloody marvelous! All the performences were great but I don't think it could have ended better than that!

  2. i used to have to drink shit loads of Lucozade due to the fact that doctors thought I had low blood sugar.... fools. they soon found out I was just a lazy cunt.

Yep, it provides false hope for the lethargic! But one thing, were you weened on orange or original?

  3. Cans of Lucozade are so much better than bottles, simply the best hangover cure ever! Are you an original or orange fan? Original all the way for me!

Think I'll be purchasing a can very soon from the High Street!

  4. What does everyone think of it? i got it today & to be honest I'm not that impressed. It's too acousticy. Some acoustic is good' date=' but it's just like a completely different direction for Idlewild. Some more crazy trakcs (From the Hope is Important/100 Broken Windows era) would have been good. Saying that, I want A Warning is quite a good track.

    Opinions?[/quote']

I hate reviews because I tend to be unwillingly pushed to question my own opinions. The 'Fly' review said that 'I want a warning' was crap but I heard it on the radio before I read the review and yeah it came across as pretty gash. Got the CD today and I don't think the review has influenced the fact that I don't like that song...

Enough about that track, to be honest I don't know what to make of it yet. It definately doesn't hit you and say "I'm a great record!" but I'm willing to listen to Roddy who says it will probably take a while to get into. I don't think it will outshine '100 Broken Windows' cos thats one of my favourite albums but I'd hate to sound like I'm dwelling on the 'good old days' because they've moved on.

The review from the guardian said they'd written a collection of good REM songs and I never truly grasped this age-old comparison until I heard 'I understand it' which is indeed a good song and wouldn't have sounded out of place on 'Document' or 'Green'. I definitely like that song so far....

    Jesus I've written an essay!

  5. I own a kids v-neck, red and white(obviously) AFC cardigan from the 60s or 70s which when worn, according to my mum, makes me look like a member of the Bay City Rollers! I found it in McKays(across the road from the police station) and for a tenner just had to buy it! I don't know if its sad or brilliant!
