  1. What this is is a list for people who are into music cause its "cool" at the moment and they cant be fucked actually going out there listening to music and making their own opinions up. Why bother when NME provides them for two quid or whatever it costs a week.

Do you like a lot, if any of the music featured in the NME out of interest?

For those of you who like the sort of thing the NME generally features Club NME's tonight at Moshulu with My Luminaries playing and drinks offers galore.

    Gogol Bordello

    The Bronx

    Jurassic 5

    The Dresden Dolls

    The Hush Sound

I'm bored by the way. ^_^

  3. It's nae exactly rocket science to gather that there'd be a decent enough crowd for Jonah in Aberdeen. As a certain celebrity mouth said to me the other day surely if you wanted to put him on that much you'd do it regardless of what people said on here? Do you want to see him in Aberdeen yourself Ross?

  4. I do not watch TV and never listen to radio and hence cut this problem off from myself.

Sometimes I do find myself glancing at posters advertising coffee and idly singing Muse 'Sober' in my head but I just make sure I find at least 20p on the ground over the course of the day and put it in my 'royalties' jar in the corner of my room.

On a more serious note if I'd written a fucking beezer of a tune and was in the more 'popular' genres that Muse, The 22-20's or Primal Scream frequent then I'd be more than chuffed to get my song out to people for more moneys than I was getting originally and would sit at home in my baffies 'selling out' as long as said advert would run!

    Mince.

  5. fingers for technical and faster stuff (but most players seem to get their bass compression totally wrong and you make out 25% of the ACTUAL notes they are playing)

pick for harder, abrasive stuff. i.e. not really playing bass guitar as such, more attacking

Define 'playing bass guitar as such' for me Smaxwell. "fingers for technical and faster stuff" needs more detail as well, are you siding against players who use picks?

I'm firmly of the opinion that I couldn't give two fucks whether someone's using a pick or not. If they're writing decent bass parts then who cares how they're achieving the sound as long as it suits the track it's being played in? It's a matter of personal preference as far as I'm concerned.

That being said I'm breaking fuckloads of picks playing bass at the moment which makes me think I should concentrate on finger playing...
