Should music be instantly likeable? or should it grow on you?

bearing in mind a tumor grows on you and its not particularly good.........

Is it the case that we hate instantly likeable tunes after about a month.......but songs that grow on us tend to be our long term fave songs.........

hence meaning Indian weddings might, in fact may be the way forward, in terms of long term everlasting love....
