Nah I just meant he's a bit like Jeff Buckley in his style, fairly chilled, easy to listen to, he's damn cool but not a rip off act!

  2. Ok so here's the crack...

The venue is Soundhaus at 47 Hydepark Street, Glasgow

Contact Chris on 07967778383 or email chris@soundhaus.co.uk

Chris is the manager dude that I spoke to, he seems pretty cool and is happy to have bands from Aberdeen play ensuring that they can guarantee a good crowd, because the venue is fairly remote it's not like random punters would just be rolling in off the street so if you're gonna try and get yourself a gig there you'll defo need to do some good PR prior to the date. Also, I asked him about bands whose members are underage and he reckon he would have issues with that given that underage bands tend to attract underage crowds, but it's worth getting in touch with him anyway, just see what he says, he might be able to recommend some other venues that wouldnt have a problem with it.

Hope this helps folks, give it a shot!!

  3. Damn it damn it damn it, I am muchos annoyed to have to decline the offer of a night's entertainment and surf punk madness courtesy of 10 Easy Wishes in the fine city of Glasgow cos I have to go to stinking Inverness!!!! Yes indeed I am very disappointed, but have no fear, I shall plug you guys down here and convince many others to go along in my place!!!!

  4. To all band members, musicians, etc etc

I went to a gig on Thursday in this really random and obscure venue in Glasgow, it's this warehouse type thing in the middle of an industrial estate near the SECC but it's a damn good venue, it's very very cool indeed, really good acoustics, good size, nice set up. I would strongly recommend that if any of you are planning to tour Scotland, or gig down in Glasgow that you try and get yourself a gig there. I spoke to the manager dude so I could pass on contact details to all you lot, which I will have to post later cos I dont have them on me right now but defo bear it in mind!!!!

Hope to see you all down here some time soon

Niiiice one! Aye Halt Bar aint too far from me, I'll defo be there.

Apologies to you guys but I had to resort to taping your cds from my brother rather than buying any from you cos I'm v.poor :( But if it's any consolation I am very much loving them and playing very loud in my flat, annoying my flatmates, hoorah!! Good effort guys!

  6. Lost Prophets (yay, I finally got the new album, rock on)

    Franz Ferdinand

Jamie Cullum (if you include his entire band and not just him on his tod)

    Adequate Seven

and.....................um...................10 Easy Wishes (?? I'm sure there's some other band I've been listening to more but cant think who, have been listening to TEW a lot recently though!)

Apparently they were told to do something to relate to being a younger generation of their style of music, so they rehearsed a storming version of 'My Generation'. At the last minute their record company said it wasn't suitable and couldn't they do ooh, say, 'Love Cats' instead. So they had hardly any time to rehearse it.

NB their record company have The Cure's Greatest Hits coming out next month...

Aye they did My Generation at the concert, it was so cool. They also did a cover of Frontin' by Pharell Williams which I was a little sceptical about but it was fookin awesome! I unfortunately missed him on the South Bank show but I reckon seeing him live kinda makes up for that, heehee. Met him after the gig which was cool as fuck, he's very little, and cute, and gave me two kisses, aye, not one but a whole big two! Heehee, can't wait for the next show

  8. Went to see him last night in Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and he was bloody amazing!!! Anyone else a fan? I was overwhelmed by how good a gig it was. If every musician in the business was as talented as he is, the music industry would be a far better place! It was just outstanding. Probably the best twenty quid Ive ever spent

I bet in three years they're the next big thing.

And if they are I'm suddenly gonna eat my words and be all "oh my god Im so sorry for slagging them off"???

    I think not.

Whether they end up being an awesome band or not, they were crap at the Blink gig

I concur! Twas a beautiful moment!

Motion City Soundtrack were pretty damn good. Did anyone else see the members of A Nervous Return just randomly wandering around the arena after their set. Maybe trying to flaunt themselves cos they're unlikely to be remember for their piss poor performance....

  11. Everyone have a good time?

I'm so pissed off that I missed like almost the entire gig....damn my friends for messing me about!!! Made it in time for Adequate 7 though and in my opinion, was worth it just for that!!! They were awesome.

Also, very strange seeing all you people that I only "know" from this site, in the flesh. But cool nonetheless....

Does anyone know......who was the dude with the long long hair and the cool hat that was dancing.....he was the coolest dancer I've ever seen! Yeah!!!!!!!!
